You've seen my predictions – I think 15 of the 36 Type B free agents will be offered arbitration at tomorrow night's deadline, aside from locks Joaquin Benoit and John Buck. Now it's your turn.

More than half of the first 24 respondents think the Jays paid half a million dollars to not offer arbitration to Olivo.

Someone please clue me in…how does an arbitration offer from a player’s previous team get handled when the player has already signed with another team?
Jamme
That player will get offered arb from his team (cause it would be stupid not to) and since he is already signed, they automatically get the picks.

I gave varitek a nod. Thinking he is now plan B now with VMart gone and he can be given away with him not likely to get much of any kind of raise over 3M in arbitration if they do get another catcher via trade. Could tutor Daslty along if Salty is to starter in 2011 and might even help if kept to less than 150PA or so, kept as Beckett’s personal catcher etc..
Also can hope that Boras still not learned his lesson and declines arbitration.
