Any truth to the rumors that Pete Alonso has asked mets to no rescind offer ?
A posted questions for about 3 chats already. Nothing.
Many, many people ask questions, so many go unanswered.
Many will enter, few will win.
My fun fact of a stat should’ve read that since the start of the 1989 season, the White Sox and A’s have won as many Series titles as the Dodgers and Mets combined.
Prime example here of outsmarting oneself when trying to give a somewhat smart-aleck answer
I was going to say… Dodgers have more (3) since 1987 than the A’s and White Sox combined (2).
Is that fudging the numbers to meet your narrative? Mets in 86 and Dodgers in 88. It can also be looked at since 86.
I appreciate the transcripts of any of the chats or reports, but, alas, still no news about the Angels, again.
I imagine it has something to do with the Angels themselves. The teams that get talked about most are either teams having success and making moves to have more success, or teams like Toronto, an active crash that horrifies one fan base and illicits curiosity from the other 29.
The Angels have been mediocre for a decade now. They’re not good and no move they make at this point makes anyone think they’ll be meaningfully better. They’re also not a sudden disaster. They just exist.
The only 2 times in recent years where the Angels caused any wide spread interest was when Ohtani left, and when Arte said he was selling.
Sadly for Angels fans, they’re one of those forgettable franchises right now. If Arte announced he was selling again, I guarantee the Angels would get talked about in the chat, and elsewhere.
Hey Canuck. Agree to disagree on “they just exist”. Agree that they are not a “sudden disaster”, but to me more like an “ongoing disaster”. 9 straight losing seasons working on 10. Oof.
Over these 10 years, there have been different GMs and Managers. So that can’t be the problem. The one common denominator of course is the owner. For the benefit and health of the team and it’s fanbase, pack your bags Arte.
That question from Ricky about the Padres…
Right. Has any team ever traded away 4 starting position players and a starting pitcher in a single trade?
Is there any team that would want Bogaerts, Machado, Cronenworth, Cease, adn Merrill? I guess this could be a 3 team trade.
Bogaerts and Cronenworth’s contracts are so unappealing that this trade wouldn’t net a mega haul of prospects.
