Roki Sasaki’s official arrival into the free agent market will likely take place during baseball’s Winter Meetings, as ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports that the star right-hander is expected to be posted by the Chiba Lotte Marines on Tuesday. Once posted, Major League teams have 45 days to negotiate with Sasaki, and he’ll return to the Marines for the 2025 Nippon Professional Baseball season if no deal is reached.
It is seen as a virtual lock that Sasaki will be coming to MLB, given how the 23-year-old is so eager to pitch in the big leagues that he is leaving a fortune on the table by coming to North America so early in his career. Since Sasaki is an international free agent who is less than 25 years old, he can only be signed using funds from a team’s international bonus pool.
The timing of the posting is noteworthy, as Sasaki’s 45-day negotiating window will stretch beyond January 15 and the opening of the 2025 international signing period. Since the 2024 period ends on December 15 and teams have already basically spent everything in their budgets, it was widely expected that Sasaki will wait until after January 15 to sign so he could land at least a little more money. Unofficially, teams have had deals in place with international prospects for years in advance of the 2025 int’l window, yet if necessary, it is expected that some teams will walk away from these under-the-table deals if it means giving their entire 2025 bonus pool over to Sasaki.
However, as Sasaki’s early foray to the big leagues indicates, money is far from his chief motivator. Pitching in Major League Baseball will help Sasaki on the endorsement front, of course, but the circumstances of his arrival creates one of the more interesting free agent cases in recent years — arguably the most interesting since Shohei Ohtani’s arrival in the 2017-18 offseason, as Ohtani also came to the majors in advance of his age-23 season.
Though the financial playing field is fairly level for all 30 teams to make a play for Sasaki’s services, the big-spending Dodgers have long been seen a favorite to sign the right-hander, to the point that agent Joel Wolfe vehemently denied rumors that Sasaki and the Dodgers had already worked out some kind of unofficial agreement. There’s obvious appeal for Sasaki in joining a championship team that already has such Japanese stars as Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the roster, though it isn’t known what exactly Sasaki is looking for in a Major League destination (geographic preferences, teams with a pre-existing link to Japanese baseball, smaller or larger markets, etc.). As such, it is easy to imagine Sasaki ending up with the Padres, Mets, Giants, Cubs, or any of the several other teams already known to have some interest in his services.
The Marines’ own financial return from Sasaki’s posting will be limited, as per the terms of the MLB/NPB posting system. In addition to paying Sasaki, a Major League team will have to pay the Marines an extra fee based on the amount of Sasaki’s contract — 20% of a deal’s first $25MM, 17.5% of the next $25MM, and 15% of further spending. Since Sasaki’s deal is naturally limited by the size of bonus pools, the Marines stand to gain less than $2MM for one of Japan’s top pitchers.
Over 394 2/3 career innings with the Marines, Sasaki has a 2.10 ERA, 32.73% strikeout rate, and 5.7% walk rate. His devastating splitter and high-90s (topping 100mph in past seasons) have left NPB batters fooled, most memorably during a perfect game in 2022 that saw Sasaki record 13 straight strikeouts and 19 strikeouts overall. Sasaki then gained worldwide attention by almost throwing another perfect game in his next start, as he tossed eight perfect innings before being removed due to concerns over his pitch count (102 pitches).
The relative lack of mileage on Sasaki’s arm is both a boon for MLB teams eager to land such a talented pitcher at such a young age, and a bit of a concern about a possible lack of durability. Sasaki’s 129 1/3 innings in 2022 remains his career high, and his 2024 season was limited to 111 innings due to a torn oblique and some type of injury to his right arm. That said, these factors have done nothing to limit the hype on Sasaki, and his arrival in Major League Baseball lines up as one of the key stories of the offseason.

They aren’t even projected to get him.
hunteralan
They, who?
And what projection?
metsin4
The Dodgers aren’t the top team to get him. The Padres are. Why would he want to go to the Dodgers and potentially not even be in their rotation?
bluesteele
Huh? Because LA will win championships, they have a massive Japanese population, he has other Japanese players who aren’t 38 years old, the six man rotation means he doesn’t have any pressure, LA can sign him for Yamamoto money when the initial phase is over….how many more reasons do you need? SD has a good current core, but a declining payroll and awful farm system. Doesn’t add up.
gbs42
No team is “the top team” to get him.
metsin4
If he wanted a huge Japanese population he would have just stayed in Japan. Why do Dodgers fans think they are the only team with a Japanese player? I think you are drastically over estimating how many championships you will win. The Padres are still good enough to win the division this year. Your team is an aging team with huge amounts of debt owed. Your going to be in a bad position before you even realize it.
Wire to wire 2024
Are the dodgers gonna have a six man rotation?
bluesteele
This is an uneducated post for multiple reasons. IF I wanted to go play in Japan, I would want comfort and familiarity. That’s what LA brings a Japanese player. Other teams have pieces too but LA owns Japan. Just look at WS viewership. They have a foundation that eliminates pressure from a foreign speaking young kid. Second, the only people who think the Dodgers have overwhelming debt are people who don’t understand business and economics. The Dodgers have millions that are making them billions right now. Money makes money in investments. That’s what rich people know and you don’t. Ohtani’s deal will pay itself off by the time it’s due!! It’s compounding as I write this!!
metsin4
The best two pitchers to come out of Japan recently are Imanga and Senga. Neither play for the Dodgers. Ohtani is one arm blow out from a third and final Tommy John surgery. His contract could go bad in a blink of an eye.
Logjammer D"Baggagecling

And Kersahw either needs to retire as a Dodger or sign a very team friendly deal. 1 year 8 mil 75% deferred

Don’t let us stop you from making an “uneducated post!” Haha I love it when commenters think a POV is “uneducated” just because it differs from their POV! –
Before you made your biased post you should’ve read the previous articles on this very site that spoke about San Diego being a favorite to land Sasaki. You may want to read articles on R Sasaki’s motivation and reasoning for choosing his new destination in MLB….since his decision to sign with a MLB will be based on very different factors from your biased logic. “LA owns Japan” is very far from an educated comment
VinScullysSon
Dodgers average age was barely above Padres last year. Mets have higher average age. I’m pretty sure Dodgers are not going to suddenly get Osteoporosis.
metsin4
Why not? They had injuries for everything else last year. Don’t care about their average age. Care about the age of their superstars.
rocky7
Pretty much a Dodger homer comment….I would say that the Cubs, Yankees, Red Sox have Asian populations and had their share of good to great Japanese players in areas that are just as friendly as LA to Japanese players and their families……..and ask yourself if this player would want to be the third wheel Japanese player on the LA roster….
bluesteele
Hold on! It was an uneducated post NOT because I doubt he could become a Padre. It’s uneducated to say if he wants to be near a big Japanese population he’d stay in Japan. Thats dumb bro. It’s uneducated to comment on debt when you don’t understand how deferrals pay for themselves through investments. Lastly, there are multiple articles on the WS viewership numbers and also merch sales of the Dodgers in Japan. It is massive and you can not deny the trend that is happening. Who do you think owns Japan is LA doesn’t? Come on man. Not sure if you’re uneducated but definitely dumb for sure.
metsin4
Kniow what is dumb. Thinking someone has to think how you want them too. You have no clue what he wants but think he has to make his decision based on race. He is coming to the US to play baseball and make money. But you’re thinking he needs Japanese culture because LA owns Japan in your words. Debt is oweing anyone money. The Dodgers are in debt. You can describe it however you want but it’s still debt. I would recommend you stop with the Japanese stereotypes and look in the mirror before calling someone dumb.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes to San Diego , Personally I think San Diego and the Mets are the next logical candidates. However I do think the Dodgers are the heavy favorites to land him
gbs42

Yes, the Dodgers are going to have a six-man rotation next year.
dannysbigboi
Sounds like you have a distasteful bias towards the Dodgers. Yamamoto has been pretty good too I know he got hurt but his numbers were pretty good. Senga was hurt pretty much all last year. I think they are all on the same plane of being good and effective.
dannysbigboi
Yeah but their superstars all play positions that are less demanding than center or shortstop. Betts going to 2nd next year is less demanding than RF. Freeman plays first and well Othani is the most likely to be injured because he’s a two way player but DH ain’t exactly a demanding position if we look at offensive side of things.
gbs42

Metsin4 my bad for not clarifying.

Going off off-season predictions lots of people were saying he was going to struggle and his size wasn’t going to play in the MLB. For his rookie season I think he did a very good job, sucks that he was injured. When he was on the field he did good. It’s still year 2 of the contract so we will see how it plays out. I just see is a distasteful because it’s all very negative but everyone is entitled to their opinions.

this has to be the most block-headed, zero-thought process post of the entire day so far.
Every team is aging, not just the Dodgers. Huge amount of debts? Where? Last I saw they lead the league in attendance, sales and are printing money with Ohtani’s success and the stars already in blue. They’ve made the playoffs 12 straight seasons now? When does the bad position you speak of start? Their farm is stacked. They’re making money. They just came off a World Series win, making four of the last 7 years. (sarcasm, Red Sox and Astros cheating years)
When do the bad times and bad decisions bite them in the ass?
Hasn’t happened for over a decade so far.
Maybe, just maybe, the Dodger franchise is just a great organization ahead of any curve everyone else is on and using their assets and money as well or better than everyone else?
Doral Silverthorn
And with the entire league dealing with TJ surgeries overall, that’s probably the future. Five mans are a luxury nowadays. Again, the Dodgers are ahead of the curve on this.
avenger65
metsin4: If he’s looking for a huge Japanese population in North America, then he should sign with Seattle. Big Japanese population there and especially Vancouver.
Stevil
It shouldn’t be surprising that Japanese fans watched the World Series that featured two of the biggest names in Japanese baseball, nor should the sales of merchandise featuring those names be surprising.
That has nothing to do with the Dodgers. Ohtani and Yamamoto would have likely had the same effect on any team they played for, and that should be expected with Sasaki if he lands elsewhere.
By the way, the Dodgers’ rotation was 25th in IP. last season. They used 17 different starters (yes, 17!), and the starter who logged the most innings was Stone, with 140.1. They aren’t exactly a model of health.
Think that might have a negative influence on Sasaki’s decision? Think LA is the only city with a Japanese community that might be appealing? If you do, I’m sure there fans that would be happy to show you around places like San Diego and Seattle.
“Who do you think owns Japan is LA doesn’t? Come on man. Not sure if you’re uneducated but definitely dumb for sure.’.
Seriously, it’s probably a good idea to take a break from the insults.
KnicksFanCavsFan
@Blue
Or maybe he’d like to get from under the shadow of Ohtani and Yamamoto? Anyone can post him Yammy money once he’s a FA. Right now the Dodgers have Ohtani, Yammy, Snell, Glasgow signed for over $100k and controlled pitchers at the mlb level with Stone and I’m assuming they are bringing back Kershaw. They COULD use Stone as trade bait for something big but just seems like a very congested situation. The west coast has appeal, but he can consider the Padres, Angels or Mariners and be guaranteed a starting spot in the rotation. BTW what does the Padres farm team have to do with anything? This team win 83 games last year and ate in the playoffs. They have a good rotation already and a good rotation with another Marianne legend in the guild in Darvish. He might feel like he can be mentored by a Japanese legend. Makes more sense for him to join the Padres because he had more room to breath and not be smothered by the popularity of Ohtani and Yammy.
gbs42
KnicksFan,
Stone had shoulder surgery and will spend all of 2025 on the IL.
gbs42

Sasaki could win with a lot of different teams. It’s not like he’s going to sign with the White Sox or Rockies.

Your bring very condescending. Certainly, LA has a great, supportive Asian culture, but the Angels are their too. San Diego and Seattle also have a supportive Japanese culture and have our have had Jahangir legend like Darvish and Ichiro. Furthermore, having late media coverage has NOTHING to do with helping him acclimate to the US. You puff your chest out that LA owns Japan. Cool. That benefits the Dodgers and may help Sadaki earn more money but it didn’t help him any more in the US in terms of on field success. Yanks can offer the same to an upstream l up and coming Japanese player like they did for Tanaka and Matsui.

False. Why would he want to go to a team that’s best hope is 2nd place every year for the next decade?

damascusj
There’s a lot of teams with a lot of upside to get him, but I’ve heard rumors (reliable rumors, but still rumors) that he doesn’t want to be just a small part of a super team.
Where he is the #5 starter or a reliever.
Whereas with the Padres he will have a team with strong Japanese ties with darvish and hideo nomo, he will be at the front of the rotation and and learning from his godfather, darvish.
Plus it might be important to him to get a team their first ring, and not just one of many.
Again these are just rumors and theories, we will all see here in the next month or two and I’m excited to see which way it goes
KnicksFanCavsFan
@gbs Ok thank you.
damascusj
Padres having darvish and hideo nomo, both guys Sasaki looks up to, plus Ruben Niebla being one of the best pitching coaches in the league, and to be the reason why a team gets their first ring and not just be another small part of a team getting another ring of many that they’ve already had might be appealing to him
We shall see, I hope he comes to San Diego, I been watching the Marines since 2015 when I lived in China, and the past 2-3 years its been fun watching Sasaki, I wanted himz to come to SD for a while, fingers crossed

damascusj
Padres have darvish, who’s loved in Japan, and also sasakis literal godfather.
And Hideo Nomo in the front office who’s also a legendary Japanese icon, so we can’t count anyone out yet.
Plus in Japan Sasaki would just be another piece and might not even make the rotation, everywhere else he’s front of the line starter and wouldn’t be just another piece of the puzzle
Doral Silverthorn
@stevil
Believe what you want. The evidence is there. Pitchers are throwing harder than ever and getting hurt more because of that and the pitch clock.
Just know tth Dodgers are ahead of that curve, along with being ahead of the league in the thing that counts the most, the most recent World Series Championship.
They are truly playing chess at a time where others are playing checkers.
As a Dodger fan, I don’t worry about the Sotos and Sasakis because the Dodgers just won without them. Their front office is a dream team of brains. They already have it figured out regardless of what happens with Soto and Sasaki.
Doral Silverthorn
@damascus
Why are you playing the underdog role like the Padres haven’t signed every big name available over the last four seasons plus? Darvish, Machado, they traded for and traded away Soto already, Bogaerts, Cease, Hader was traded for and away, Scott, Musgrove, extended Tatis
Quit acting like the Dodgers get everyone they want. They’ve missed out on Cole, Harper, Machado, etc…
Just stop.
Stevil
Doral, do you think the Dodgers figured out something special with pitchers that other teams can’t replicate? Feel free to tell me what that is.
Meanwhile, Seattle led MLB in innings pitched, they used 6 starters for 161 games. they were second in strike outs (first in the AL), first in (fewest) walks, and third in earned runs. Guess where LA ranked in each of those categories?
The Dodgers don’t have a secret. They’re just trying to buy their success. There’s noting wrong with that, but Dodger fans shouldn’t think they’re pitching masters. They won despite their pitching shortcomings, because they have an excellent lineup and lots of depth.
Bivouac-Sal
Congrats on the Mariners .525 winning percentage. Remind me did Seattle make the playoffs with leading MLB in innings pitched, they used 6 starters for 161 games. they were second in strike outs (first in the AL), first in (fewest) walks, and third in earned runs? An enviable pitching staff.

Stevil
I’m actually enjoying this banter.
Did I suggest that Seattle is the best team? Did I say or suggest that LA didn’t deserve their title?
The point about all of this is has to do with Sasaki. I’m not making this up, it’s in the title of the post!
There are legitimate reasons he may not choose LA. Most of them have been covered in detail.

They may very well roll their way into the postseason!
Bivouac-Sal

Doral Silverthorn
@stevil
Where did Seattle finish last year? Did they make the World Series and win it with their wonderful pitching?
On the contrary: The Dodgers identified and adjusted three seasons ago when they started running in the guys like Jimmy Nelson and Eliezer Hernandez and others who came in for a few starts, then discarded like yesterday’s news. They carried a bunch of questionable health, high ceiling arms and ran through them as spot starters or made something out of them if they stayed healthy. They’ve been doing this for a few seasons now.
Buy success? See, Padres, San Diego
There’s a difference between spending and spending wildly hoping something sticks.

The Crow's Nest
Agree, but the Giants would open up the pocket book for him, and they have an excellent, starting CF who would keep him company.

Neither the Giants nor any other team can pay Sasaki a significantly different amount in terms of signing bonus, so his choice won’t be based on which team will “open up the pocket book.”
Stevil
Note to self: Dodgers won the world series.
You don’t get it, and you apparently didn’t see my response to another commenter, who responded the same way you did.
This isn’t about the Dodgers as a whole. I’m simply explaining why Sasaki might choose someone else.

This smacks of a Guardians fit. He gets to work with a well established pitching coaching staff and can slot in as a 2-3 then the Guards can flip him in a few years. Everyone wins.
Never Remember
Yes Sasaki is leaving hundreds of millions of $$s on the table to play for the cheap ass Guardians. That does make sense. I guess maybe he has always dreamed of a house overlooking Lake Erie.
Wire to wire 2024
Nobody can pay him that much now anyways
MLB Top 100 Commenter
Because Guardians always make the most endorsement money. He could make more with the Buckeyes than the Guarduans.
Wire to wire 2024
It’s obvious that money isn’t his too priority
Never Remember
Yes but living in a city with some Japanese culture likely is.
stymeedone
Any endorsements will be in Japan. Cleveland is a perennial contender, and he will be top dog, rather than sidekick.
MLB Top 100 Commenter
Jose Ramirez is their top dog. If he wants to be numero uno, he can join the Colorado Rokis.
stymeedone
Really? I’m French, but couldn’t even tell you which ML cities have the most French people, or even French restaurants. He will live in the rich suburb, with other rich people.

Unless you count Montreal, and they lost their team

You’ll have STOP EATING SNAILS and start eating Crawdads….get with the program….much too busy getting FAT to worry about baseball…..

Inside Out: That is, if he can see through all the lake effect snow.
MacGromit
I’ve never eaten a snail soaked in garlic and butter but I’d be willing to try.
More pressing than which suburb would be best for their rich diaspora, would be their home front. The French need to settle on a Prime Minister, 3 in a year really is a lot.
Coalition govt is absolutely unstable now and there is work to do.
Oh, @Saber… you’re right, I can’t turn away mudbugs… crawfish are tasty!
tj13
Did you read the comment son? He gets flipped in a few years to a team that CAN(wants to) pay him and until then gets to work with one of the best staffs and most stable organizations in the league. But sure you think hes getting $250MM and only three teams can pay him. lol okay dude.

I feel like it’s a given that younger Japanese players will always stay west coast

Roki Sasaki Expected To Be Signed By Dodgers During Winter Meetings
Gwynning
False. He’ll wait until mid-January to sign for ’25 Bonus Pool money.
The Saber-toothed Superfife
It would be to his new teams’ benefit to know what they are doing….the earlier, the better!

It would be cool to see him join such a good rotation
Heels On The Field
People used to complain about George Steinbrenner buying all the talent. The key there is “buying”. George S. paid for all his talent. The Dodgers seem to be getting free talent now with Sasaki.
This is like issuing food stamp SNAP cards to billionaires and then putting a hundred thousand dollars a month on their card because “they’re used to eating better than the rest of us”.
Mickey Solis
Let’s just assume he’ll join the greedy pigs and feed the egos of the arrogant clown Dodgers “fans” that NEED and DESERVE him so much. MLB is ruined. Just curious who gets the runner up trophy from the terrible AL next year?

I don’t understand why so many people ignore the Mariners in this. Yes, I am a mariners fan, but if I wasn’t it would make even more sense to me. Long history with Japanese players. Ichiro affiliated with the team. Huge asian population in the seattle area. Known for developing great pitching. One of the highest signing pools there is. Known pitchers park. And only Julio would be competing with him for face of the franchise. Low pressure environment…. should I keep going?
BillR47
Plus Mariners have the pitchers for six man if that’s his thing, a great history of developing and perfecting pitchers, and a history of keeping their pitchers healthy…

Sasaki is the bargain of the year for any team smart enough to sign him. In particular, the Phillies would do themselves a huge favor by signing Sasaki. A lot has been made of Sasaki signing with the Dodgers because of Ohtani and Yamamoto being there. That may also be a reason Sasaki would not want to go to LA. The last thing he might want is to play in the shadows of two superstars. The Phils have big money spent on Schwarber, Realmuto and Suarez, who will become free agents after 2025, and Walker. If Dombrowski is ready to get serious about where the Phils really stand in the 2025 race for the NL East crown and world series championship, getting rid of some expensive and replaceable merchandise and acquiring a future franchise saver like Sasaki would be a good place to start.
JerseyShoreScore
One would think Sasaki is a confident person and would not view himself as being in a shadow. He might view being on a pitching staff made up of three Japanese starting pitchers who will be doing all the same drills, same routines, and within the confines of a six man Japanese style rotation, would be appealing. If the Dodgers are not yet the national team of Japan, adding Sasaki will seal the deal. Marketing campaigns with three of them together could be enormous.
dazedatnoon
So with the worst record in the history of baseball, the White Sox have the largest int’l spending pool available? c’mon Jerry!
deepseamonster32
14 teams have more bonus pool money. It’s more about revenue sharing than performance
Digdugler
Congrats Dodgers, you deserve it.

If he wants the right fit and not have to be overshadowed by other stars, then why not sign with a good young team on the rise, with a farm system that will make their success sustainable and the ability to help pitchers maximize their potential. That is the Tigers.
MLB Top 100 Commenter
Because every young kid in Japan dreams of playing for Detroit when they grow up.
The Saber-toothed Superfife
Like I said, IF he wants to pitch against Ohtani (and/or Yamamoto), ON THE BIGGEST STAGE in the world, ie = THE WORLD SERIES = he is going to have to join an American League team, like THE TIGERS.
If he had any sense, he would join the TIGERS.
He could have an impact on not only the baseball team, but the City of Detroit as well….
Detroit would certainly allow him to shine!
MLB Top 100 Commenter
If he wants to create a rivalry with Ohtani, Padres or Giants would be prime options.
My guess in order of likelihood: (1A) Dodgers, (1A, tie) Padres, (3) Giants, (4) Mariners, (5) Mets, (6) Yankees, (7) Cubs. Hope he signs with the Sacramento A’s, but I sure don’t expect it. I do believe he has not yet made up his mind. I could easily imagine an owner among the 30 teams making an illegal promise to re-sign him at a certain threshold when he becomes a free agent (not thinking of any particular team).
KnicksFanCavsFan
@TheSaber
Of all the team’s in the US you really think Detroit is the best place to go to be in a position to represent the AL in the WS? I would say the Yanks, Red Sox. Bmore, Houston and Cleveland have a better shot. And a few of those cities have a lot more to offer and have a better history of sustaining success.
Motor City Beach Bum
I believe it was Sports Illustrated who predicted the Tigers would face LA in the World Series this year. They finished ahead of Boston, beat Houston in the Playoffs, Baltimore didn’t make it through the first round of the playoffs and they were up 2-0 on Cleveland before the Guards came back. They have a younger roster than all of those teams. How are they NOT in the conversation as one of the top teams?
The Saber-toothed Superfife
No. A WS match up, just blows that away….
The Saber-toothed Superfife
Yes.
HalosHeavenJJ
While I understand he won’t sign for six weeks it would be honorable for him and his team to announce their intentions fairly soon and let the prospects of his signing team find new homes.
If I had a prospect signing with LA I’d already have a backup plan or three.
stymeedone
No, you’re right. They grow up dreaming of playing for a team in Japan.
YaGottaBelieveAgain
At least 15 teams interested. Good Luck.
Results TBD but total salary should be within more team’s budgets
Bivouac-Sal
30 teams are interested. At the price why wouldn’t they be? But y’all keep spouting the BS. We’ll all know what Roki wants in a few weeks.

Just for the record, the posting fee for international amateurs like Sasaki is 25 percent of the signing bonus. The 20 percent and up formula only applies to free agents signing major league contracts (20 percent of a minor league contract would be chump change indeed).
The Saber-toothed Superfife

He wants to play on the Best Coast not the Least Coast. “Japanese tradition” did you see what some guy in Seattledid? He is the only player I believe to have his first name on his jersey? You guys from the ALW remember the TV crews following him around. See the min of 3 but probably more like 5 buses of Japanese fans arriving in Seattle every game?
Seattle might be going cheap this season but we have this great group of players coming up that will be his age. Core of our pitching staff is close. Ichiro is still around to help him out.
Seattle could go to a six man rotation too. Not sure why LA thinks they are ahead of the curve with a six man rotation. Seattle did it with Keucki. He didn’t work out here but that was more of a few injuries and not being ready for MLB. We could also trade Castillo and use that money to sign a player or 2.
Seattle also has some great International companies to give him sponsorship money. Not as much as LA I understand but they are embedded in the area. This is a great destination for him because of what is coming up and the firsts he can help achieve. First AL pennant. First WS pennant. First team to win 5 WS pennants in a row in the modern era. OK that is a reach and NY I don’t care how many pennants you won with a 6 team league and players so poor they left their glove on the field for another to use. Sasaki will be a Mariner Jan 16th. Heard it here first.
Wire to wire 2024
If not my local team I’d like to see him on the mariners, would be a really fun rotation to watch. You mention la implementing a six man rotation which I’ve seen others say but do they actually plan to do that or is it speculation.
radhippo
It’ll be absolutely shocking if he doesn’t sign with the dodgers

Sasaki Will go where he wants to.

I’d sell my soul and buy a jersey every year if the Giants somehow got him but we know he’s going to the Dodgers
