“Nonplussed” does not mean what Steve thinks it means.

1:11; O’Neil addition and kinder lf wall dimensions, Orioles anticipating bounce back year for Mountcastle? He is off the market(if he was ever on to begin with)?

He’s more valuable to the O’s than to other teams.

As a Phils fan I do not agree with the MLBTR take on Bohm’s value – and I am not one to oversell Bohm at all. His defense is okay (far better in the past couple of years), and his bat is solid but with some room to improve. However two years of arb control of a solid plus regular at a position where there is more demand than competent supply is worth far more than a sixth starter in return.
I don’t think that he will be traded, as he is still useful to the Phils. His control timeline fits for them with Aidan Miller projected for late 2026 or 2027, and there is still room for a bit more upside development with Bohm as well. A hand injury also harmed his 2nd half last season. So if someone offers real value that makes sense in a trade then let him go, but not the nonsense that was projected on here.

I believe most teams agree with Adam’s evaluation & hence he won’t be traded. If he were to catch fire in the first half, then try & trade him at the trade deadline.

Trades are always difficult to put together, as even the professionals with far more data and expertise tend to disagree when it comes to relative trade values. The ones that get made tend to be more about matching teams with a surplus and a need in their respective requirements which then greases the wheel for compromise. 28 other teams might disagree, but the match works for the 29th. One should never trade from weakness.

If it’s true DD has been dangling Bohm for the likes of George Kirby, Logan Gilbert and Kyle Tucker then I don’t think its a poor take on MLBTR’s part in this whole scenario.
He’d be a secondary piece at best for any of those guys, not the main entree. If he tried tossing in Castellanos in the Tucker package, that’s even funnier.

Don’t see it. Right side of 30, has bat pop, team control left, under 10 mil, better than average fielder. Don’t see DD wanting to move him.
Media driven speculation? IE. not from Phillies. First hint of possibly moving him surfaced in an article here on 11/7 which included Alec on a laundry list of possible trade candidates by Phillies. I think it’s drivel.

I find the SA chats are the least enjoyable – short, and he tends to focus on one or two teams and a couple of players. The writers get hundreds of questions during these chats – maybe let’s not spend half of it on the Cubs and Bohm.

I’ll never understand you little babies that act like you’re forced to be here. What, are you hoping Steve reads your comments and changes how he does things? Bunch of Karens on this site now.

I would think since not everybody can know everything, familiarity, previous research and existing knowledge are factors for this kind of thing?
