Sonny Gray for Jeimer Candelario?

I saw that and my first thought was about the mental and physical well being of ‘Big Red Machine’.
Has that poster recently struck their head on something?
At this point, Jeimer might well have negative trade value.

Canuckleball;
Not saying you’re wrong as of today…..
But Terry Francona’s record of reworking young underperforming players is impressive. The day his agreement to manage the Reds leaked out, Harold Reynolds of MLB TV made the comment that Francona would never have taken the job if the Reds: “Weren’t ready to win”.
–
Bell was a terrible manager and the coaching staff was lost. Not saying Tito can turn it on a dime – surely the first year will be a transitional one. But the majority of those young position players will be producing quite a bit differently by mid-season. Francona has fired almost all the existing position player coaching staff and is bringing in new coaches.
–
Pitching coach Derek Johnson is one of the best in baseball. He hasn’t had the influence he should have had for years. He’ll work well with Francona.
–
Reds will contend for a playoff spot in 2025. Francona’s teams have a history of finishing strong, as he makes adjustments with how players are used through the season.

8:34 from Grrr: “(The Tigers) have also been largely unprofitable over the last decade.”
I find it difficult to believe that any team has been”largely unprofitable” over any significant stretch of time in the last several decades.
RunDMC
I don’t think AA avoids Boras. He reps too many to do that. Sure, Boras has publicly criticized ATL’s extensions (though he’s not the only one), but ATL has signed Keuchel and almost signed Bora’s Correa to a creative pillow deal before MIN offered something “cushier.” I can absolutely see AA interested in Kim with a similar creative offer, though they don’t normally do opt-outs…
AA most likely isn’t Boras’ 1st choice because AA didn’t just fall off the turnip truck.

Bang The Drum Slowly. To the poster that asked about this. I agree wholeheartedly. Most underrated and under appreciated baseball movie ever. Heck, underappreciated movie period. Great call. Grab some tissue to watch it.

Agreed. BTDS is a really underrated flick.
Also, Mark, good shout on Sugar. Very good movie.
