If Pete Alonso were a watch, he’d be manufactured by either Bic or 3M. Even Peter Angelos would aim higher than that.

Wells’ fwar = 3.7, Cowser’s is 3.4, even with 37 more games
And Alonso’s last 2 seasons have been his worst. Not sure a long term deal with him is going to age very well

Late to the party. How many teams will have issues with their tv deals this offseason?
DonOsbourne
Several. I think this issue is kind of being ignored. Everyone wants to believe this offseason will be business as usual, but I don’t see it. I think the market remains depressed until there is a clear, long-term, solution to the TV situation.

Steve – you cannot possibly believe that the Twins thought they would get even one inning out of DiSclafani. to dump Polanco, they had to take DiSclafani. same as what the Giants did to Seattle last year.
more concerning is the deadline move for Richards. more concerning is keeping Kepler and Farmer. more concerning is allowing Varland to remain a starting pitcher. more concerning is the fact that Rocco has not been fired for pitching staff management negligence, and for not firing the 3rd base coach. but most of all, the biggest concern is the lack of passion and lack of public awareness by ownership. what a waste of a year.
gbs42
You seem concerned.
lesterdnightfly
He’s more concerned than most people. He’s in danger of losing his Minnesota Nice-ness.
ohyeadam
They had to take Disco in the Polanco trade to get a higher quality prospect, Gonzalez. Polanco was not dumped.
Kepler was an obvious keep. Farmer was questionable.
Varland will be in the pen again soon enough. If he’s in AAA why not give him leash as a starter, nothing too lose. Yes they should’ve picked up a vet in the offseason for the rotation, but as he said in the chat they didn’t have the money
So far as Rocco and his pitching management. He does okay but I’ll never understand why he keeps brining Duhran in the 8th. When your guy is a closer and has the big entrance you can’t bring him in for the 8th. Messes up the vibe of the ballpark

1:41; agree to moving Mouncastle. Pass on Alonso.
Orioles platoon too much to my liking. Time to lock in a couple players to regular jobs regardless of pitcher’s arm preference.
Westburg at 3rd, Cowser in LF, Mullins CF, Holliday SS. And, drum roll, Henderson at 1b. Gunnar plays borderline reckless at SS. Swear he’s gonna kill someone out there or at minimum put himself on the IL. He’s a hitter first. Can’t hit when on IL.
DonOsbourne
I don’t buy Bichette’s little speech either. Seems like a guy feeling a little insecure about his prospective market value making a pitch to the team who is likely to value him the most. I’m sure he was expecting to have a fat, long-term extension sitting on the table when the season ended and now, he knows that’s probably not happening. Sentimental pandering at best.

Serious question:
Is there a reason that Shota Imanaga gets no love for ROY?
Am I missing something on eligibility?
Because his performance has been outstanding.
Ezpkns34
Not even the best NL rookie pitcher in his division, much less best NL rookie
Jean Matrac
lester, If Skenes wasn’t around, Imanaga would be a shoe-in for NL ROY. Most other years he would be. He’s got really good numbers. Unfortunately not good enough this season.

Kim isn’t inline to get qualify offer. His contact end in 24 and then looks li,e he’s in arbitration for 2. FA in 27
