Steve absolutely nailed it in his assessment of Preller. I’ve hated some of his signings, but think some of that was more at the behest of Seidler. He’s been one of the better GMs in terms of keeping the Padres relevant.

1:52. Cowser. He’s growing on me. Maybe he wins ROY, maybe not.
Comes across as a solid career guy that on occasion has a monster MVP type season or playoff run.
To me, he looks and plays like Kirk Gibson. Heck, Sam Houston State is no Michigan State but I could of pictured Colton getting first team reps in their wide receiver room on autumn Saturdays.
