Hello friends.
Whether you're an old friend from the places I've written before or a new friend for whom our courtship has only recently begun, I think we can all agree on one thing - my writing comes with a certain level of gravitas, only appropriate for the most meditative and consequential discussions. If you won't take fantasy baseball seriously, what's even the point?
So, with irreverence banished far into the sea and with all tongues planted firmly away from any cheek, it's officially time for our most official award show of the year. Officially.
No time for any shenanigans, people - it's the Halfies!

What a fun read. Maybe could’ve used a tad more seriousness, but I appreciate someone caring about baseball being fun.

This is a great article! As I type this, Duran just went yard for the AL.
As a baseball fan, I really want Adell to put it all together, but I agree that at this point it’s not looking likely. The Gallo reference was kind of a cheap shot though lol. Few players in baseball history are as much of a strikeout king as Gallo. I don’t know if there’s been too many MLB regulars have a three year stretch where they’ve K’d in over 40% of their ABs like Gallo has each year from 2022-24.
As a Nats fan, the note about Adell kind of scares me a bit. We’re at least a few years away from this comp being anywhere close to fair, but the start of Dylan Crews career in the minors concerns me, especially because he’s older than Adell was when the Angels drafted him.

Fun and silly (but still informative). Perhaps a serous article of the same subject would be fun as well.
