Nice to see that guy Jorge78 who complained no end about the Bees-Beads thing asked the stupidest question of the night about Will Smith and the Royals. As if that’s why his question didn’t get answered. It didn’t get answered because it was dumb. Lesson learned.

I thought my question fit in well with Mark’s
bees/beads wackiness.
And he agreed as he answered it. By the way, there have been plenty of others who have complained about the
bees/beads thing. Just
wondering: now that I’m living in your head, do I have to pay rent?

Keep sleeping on the Royals.

I think they r legit but being competitive was not the plan. IMO, winning just happened to be a lucky by product of the plan.
Last year extension talks between the Royals and Witt’s people, as reported here at MLBTR, were stagnet. The Royals switched gears with focus on getting talent outside the org; which they did. Shortly thereafter, Witt agreed to an extension. In other words, Witt’s people threw down the hammer and said if you want our guy; show us something.

By the way Kudos to the guy who shouted out all the people who died for this country and their sacrifice. Then the vets come home and get treated like garbage by the government in this country. Every politician in this country who cashes their paycheck should be ashamed of themselves. Look in the mirror people, If you can.

I wish they would. They need to see why they have the “power” they do, imo.

The Dodgers do not need another outfielder or 2nd baseman. Lux is playing an excellent 2nd base defensively and starting to hit. The only weakness in the infield is Muncy at 3rd defensively. Hernandez is much better defensively. Rojas is a terrific defensive SS. Outman got off to a slow start this year offensively but is still a very good CF. He came in third in ROY voting. Move Betts to 2nd occasionally and right predominantly. There, fixed it for you Mark. Didn’t cost a dime.

Take on the Os is always worth a snicker for Os fans. Ended last year on a starting pitching run (Playoff problem was the BP) and picked up a Cy Young winner. Yes, it would have been a nervous month when Bradish was out, but long before yesterday it was clear he was better than ever.
Os fans have known that Povich and McDermott were ready in AAA for a while, but Albert Suarez came out of no where and Irvin had a solid track record. But Povich being the best starter in AAA? Also unexpected.
80% of Os fan concern is about veteran OFs and rest is BP. Os don’t need to trade for a Flaherty at the deadline, they need to find a marginal contender (like the 2022 Astros and Twins) and convince them that they simply must have Hays, Mullins or Urias and can part with prospects that Elias and Sig love. Another package of Canos, Povichs, McDermotts, etc, would be fine.
Yes, if the price for Miller is sane, you part with a Mayo or Basallo plus Norby, even if you’ve created an opening for Kjerstad. But starters to add to GRod, Burnes, Bradish, Suarez, Kremer, Povich, McDermott and Irvin? With Wells and Means still possibilities? Why?
Os fans know that starting pitching is a surplus, not a hole.

To Pete V who asked the question on Lindor. In what world would Cleveland want Lindor and any part of that salary back?
