It’s incredible to me that people get so worked up over something that takes MAYBE a minute of time in a 2+ hour chat. Mark answers questions at an very quick pace compared to other chats I’ve seen. If he want’s to take 1/120th of his time that he’s committing to answering questions asked by people for free, I don’t understand why it is a problem. It’s not like he’s posting off-topic messages and taking 10 minutes doing it, he posted an answer to a question at 8:05, the bees comment was up at 8:05, he posted beads at 8:05 and the next question was up at 8:06 and responded to at 8:07.
Just curious as to why the Cubs would want Tanner Scott. They already have 3 Tanner Scott’s. They just have different names. Little-Palencia and Alzolay. I have no idea what they would do with a 4th Tanner Scott.
It’s got something to do with a TV show. if you don’t get it like me, Then you probably haven’t seen it either. It’s fine with me but it seems to drive some people to drink. He’s sacrificing his time to mostly answer the same dumb questions every week so if it makes him happy it’s cool by me. There are way worse things and people that drive me crazy on this site than that.

I’ve got the obvious question. Exactly why do the people who hate it participate and or read the chat? You have to be some kind of Masochist to keep doing something you hate so much.
Uncle – Unfortunately we now live in a society where if people don’t like something, they aren’t content with simply ignoring it and allowing others with differing views to enjoy it.
Instead, they become fixated on shutting it down aka forcing their views on others.
Like most people here I don’t enjoy the bees thing, but I defend Mark’s decision to continue doing it. His chat, his choice.

You know, tiresome, overworn, not funny–but thinking that his schtick is hilarious.
Find something significant to complain about. Or check out a FanGraphs chat and complain about their discussion of board games, food, cats, music, etc.

Mark P always comes across as a guy with whom I’d like to have a beer and talk baseball/pop culture/music/general sports.
He’s on a par with Dan Z for the best MLB chat on the net, IMO.
