Pitchers and catchers will be reporting to Spring Training in about three weeks but a slow offseason means there are still plenty of free agents out there. MLBTR already took a look at the top catchers, first basemen, third basemen, shortstops and center fielders still available. Here’s a rundown of the top starting pitchers who’ve yet to sign.
Top-of-the-Market Arms
- Blake Snell: The two-time Cy Young Award winner has reportedly been seeking a deal worth $200MM or more. The Yankees are said to have offered Snell something in the vicinity of $150MM over a six-year term, but it’s understandable if Snell and agent Scott Boras are aiming higher coming off the lefty’s NL Cy Young win. The Yankees gave a larger contract to Carlos Rodon last offseason despite a shorter track record. Snell’s shaky command has been a talking point throughout his free agency, but an elevated 13.3% walk rate didn’t hinder him much in 2023 when he pitched 180 innings of 2.25 ERA ball and whiffed 31.5% of his opponents. Snell made the easy call to reject a qualifying offer. He’ll eventually land a nine-figure contract, in all likelihood. Beyond the Yankees, he’s been connected to the Giants, Angels and Blue Jays.
- Jordan Montgomery: Montgomery’s climb from Tommy John rehab to bona fide playoff starter was steady and arguably under the radar — at least until last year’s postseason heroics. The 31-year-old has posted a sub-4.00 ERA and started 30-plus games in each of his three full seasons back from Tommy John surgery, steadily adding more innings each season. Taken in total, he’s pitched 524 1/3 innings of 3.48 ERA ball since Opening Day 2021, highlighted by a career-best 3.20 earned run average in a career-high 188 2/3 frames in 2023. Add in the 33 2/3 postseason innings of 2.67 ERA he’s chipped in, and the profile looks even better. Montgomery isn’t a flamethrower but is a durable arm with average strikeout and ground-ball rates, strong command and a repeated ability to manage hard contact. The Rangers want him back but are facing some financial questions regarding their television broadcast outlook. Other teams to which Montgomery has been tied include the Red Sox, Yankees and Cardinals.
Solid Innings
- Mike Clevinger: Fans who remember Clevinger’s peak days in Cleveland probably value him more than the current market does. The now-33-year-old righty had a brief but excellent peak in 2017-20 when he tossed 489 1/3 innings and logged a 2.96 ERA. Clevinger missed the 2021 season following Tommy John surgery, however, and had a pedestrian 2022 campaign in San Diego. Last year’s 3.77 ERA in 131 1/3 innings with the White Sox was a step forward, but since returning from surgery Clevinger touts a lackluster 19.4% strikeout rate. His velocity is down a mile per hour from its peak, and he’s allowing more hard contact than ever — as well as more fly-balls than ever. Clevinger made 32 starts and pitched 200 innings in 2018. He’s never reached 25 starts in another season. He can improve the back of most teams’ rotations, but counting on him for more than 120 innings is tough.
- Michael Lorenzen: A big first half with the Tigers and a memorable no-hitter in his second start following a trade to the Phillies looked to have positioned Lorenzen for a sizable contract this winter. Things went south in a hurry following that no-hitter for the 32-year-old righty, however. Lorenzen hadn’t topped 100 innings since his rookie season and looked to hit a wall following that hitless gem. He allowed 23 runs in 26 innings over his next five starts, was dropped to the bullpen and immediately tagged for four runs in one-third of an inning. Lorenzen pitched 30 1/3 innings following the no-no and yielded an 8.01 ERA. Even prior to his slowdown, Lorenzen was sporting a well below-average strikeout rate. With last year’s 153-inning performance and 4.18 ERA fresh in mind, he’s a candidate to serve as a fourth starter somewhere.
- Hyun Jin Ryu: Many of the numbers for Ryu in his return from Tommy John surgery last year looked good: a 3.46 ERA, a 6.3% walk rate, a 45.6% ground-ball rate. Ryu, however, fanned only 17% of his opponents — a far cry from his 27.5% peak. He also managed only 52 innings in 11 starts — an average of about 4 2/3 frames per outing. Ryu only recorded an out after the fifth inning one time in 2023, and he had only 33 plate appearances in which he was facing his opponent for the third time in a game. His 88.8 mph average fastball was a career-low. Ryu can still help a rotation, but it’ll be hard to treat him like more than a pure five-inning pitcher, given last year’s usage.
Injury Cases
- Clayton Kershaw: In early November, Kershaw announced that he’d undergone surgery “to repair the gleno-humeral ligaments and capsule” in his left shoulder. If that sounds ominous, it is. He’s expected to be sidelined into the summer of 2024 at the very least. Kershaw was also a free agent last offseason, and the prevailing wisdom was that he’d re-sign with the Dodgers or sign with his hometown Rangers, whose stadium is just a few miles from Kershaw’s offseason home. The Dodgers have said they want Kershaw back, but all parties are taking their time as he mends from that surgery. Once he’s ready to make a decision, it seems like it’ll come down to L.A. and Texas once again.
- Brandon Woodruff: The longtime Brewers co-ace was non-tendered after undergoing shoulder surgery that’s expected to sideline late into the 2024 season. Woodruff would’ve been a free agent following the 2024 campaign anyhow, and the Brewers were understandably wary about paying him a projected $11.6MM in arbitration when he can’t even be considered a lock to pitch this year. Woodruff is a candidate to sign a high-priced two-year deal that’d allow him to spend the bulk of the 2024 campaign rehabbing. In an ideal scenario, he’d return late in the year to get some innings in before stepping back into a full rotation role in 2025. He fits best with a deep-pocketed team willing to take a chance on his 2025 season and capable of absorbing the financial hit if he can’t return to form. From 2018-23, Woodruff pitched 637 1/3 innings with a 2.98 ERA, 29.7% strikeout rate, 6.4% walk rate and 42.4% ground-ball rate.
Former Dodgers hurlers Trevor Bauer and Julio Urias are both unsigned but could be long shots to return to MLB. No team signed Bauer last offseason after his record suspension under the league’s domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse policy was lifted; he’d been given a 324-game ban after sexual assault allegations arose, but that ban was reduced to 194 games after an appeal. The Los Angeles district attorney’s office declined to pursue criminal charges but did not proclaim Bauer innocent; rather, the DA’s office stated that proving the charges “beyond a reasonable doubt” was not feasible. Bauer signed with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars of Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball and made 19 starts for their big league club, totaling 130 2/3 innings with a 2.76 ERA.
Urias, meanwhile, is currently under investigation after the DA declined to pursue felony charges following abuse allegations against the pitcher. He was referred for misdemeanor consideration, and the case is ongoing. Urias was allegedly captured on video in a physical altercation with a woman following an LAFC Major League Soccer match back in September. MLB has yet to conduct its own investigation while waiting for the legal process to play out. He finished the season on paid administrative leave. If the league eventually brings forth a suspension, Urias would become the first player to ever be suspended twice under MLB’s joint domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse policy.

I think the As should sign both Bauer and Urias

Only a matter of time when the Vegas A’s become the A.L.s version of the Dodgers and sign everyone in sight.
good vibes only
Is John Fisher still the owner in this alternate universe?
Persi W
That’s a great point. It’s not like the A’s reputation and fan interest could get any worse than it is now.
ruff kuntry
Seriously, what do they have to lose?
HatlessPete
What do they have to gain? They aren’t going to contend even if they added those two. They likely aren’t gonna be able to get good prospects out of them because of them being radioactive pr-wise. So why bother soaking the pr hits for no significant benefit?
Their reputation and fan interest are at rock bottom in Oakland because of baseball reasons but they could definitely sink lower by piling the non baseball negatives here on top of that. And the east bay is a place where there would be a very significant backlash and probably protests etc.
Here’s the other thing, they have plenty to lose from negative pr because they have a lot of steps to take in their relocation and the last thing they need is to be tarnishing their image and compromising their move to Vegas. They still need a place to play when the coliseum lease runs out and before the Vegas park opens. You think taking on this baggage helps them with that? Arguably the A’s have a heightened incentive to keep their corporate image (distinct from their onfield and baseball ops image) squeaky clean rn

Bauer should be cleared. His accuser clearly set him up.
Joeydonuts
Hes been cleared for a year. Like it says in the article
And, there were at least 4 accusers. One of them has an active civil case against him
Hard to believe no team would want him as the details of the case dribble out
Real shocker
joew
the civil case was settled in his favor.
EDIT: unless there is a new one i don’t know about.
Joeydonuts
It’s not new. Just hasn’t been settled.
It predates the gold digger case by many years.
I can’t imagine any GM would put themselves in a position where he’d have to answer questions about Bauer once that trial starts
If he were to sign, the women’s lawyer would leak out the perviest details to force a settlement.
joew
Didnt’ know that, thanks for the info.
Trevor won’t settle in a situation where he thinks he is right. Unless something new comes about like visiting a certain island I doubt it would turn out a hole lot different. But to be fair I am not in the know about the details. But do know that there wasn’t enough evidence to even bring charges let alone proving to a jury something horribly bad happened. But I guess doesn’t matter in civil trials much as we see by watching the news.
Blackpink in the area
All the other cases have led to nothing. Why would you think this other case will?
The criminals are these money chasing girls who accuse people of doing wrong for no reason except for financial gain.
Joeydonuts
Lmao
You’re not the one that has to stand in front of reporters and answer questions about it every day
If crap hits the fan, youd forget you ever said anything about him
Teams don’t have that luxury.
The current case has a long chain of evidence
Blackpink in the area
What is gonna hit the fan here? He didn’t do anything wrong. I have no idea what you are talking about with current case and long chain of evidence none at all. If you know something say if stop playing these shadow games like you are a smart guy.
Blackpink in the area
Why is it that if there were 4 accusers he’s never been charged with a crime? If those 4 accusers were legitimate why hasn’t he been charged with a crime? Forget convicted. Why hasn’t he been CHARGED with a crime????
I know more about this case than you do I bet.
Blackpink in the area
He’d been punished already based on MLBs rules. So that’s not the point at all. If a 192 game suspension is fair, and it’s very debatable it is, then that’s fine but now the suspension is over and he can’t find work. That’s the issue here.
This isn’t a typical job. MLB has a legal monopoly on professional baseball in America. And because of that they have rules to follow other companies might not have.
Joeydonuts
Mlb doesn’t have to hire anyone, genius
Do you understand what that means?
Blackpink in the area
Nobody had to hire Kaepernick either. How did that work out for the NFL?
Javia135
I think that if Bauer still had his Cy Young quality stuff, a team would have taken a chance on him and just dealt with the backlash. The problem is that when MLB actually started to check for the sticky, all of his pitches lost 200-RPMs and became ordinary. Teams don’t want to deal with that much trouble for an ordinary pitcher.
BBSmoke
Even if nothing comes of the civil suit and investigation, the guy is an immature punk and a known cancer for every team he’s played for. Perhaps if he shut his mouth online he’d have stood a very slight chance. Maybe, just maybe, that’s what’s keeping teams from signing him. I suggest finding a subscription to Japanese ball if you hope to see him pitch.
NYCityRiddler
Pinky, is this your first day on the planet?! Bauer is a TRAIN WRECK, it’s not only his past it’s also his future, it’s only a matter of time before he goes off the rails AGAIN & nobody is taking that ride with him. The only way this guy ever sets foot in another MLB stadium is if he buys a ticket like everyone else. Ahahahaha!
PutPeteinthehall
Believe you’re 100 percent right. As soon as spider tack was outlawed he did lose his dominance. Raiders cornerback Lester Hayes had stickum all over his jersey. Was outlawed soon afterwards. Probably mid 80’s . Baseball was only 40 years late
stymeedone
Both Bauer and MLB presented their cases before an arbitrator, who is the only person to hear all the evidence. He ruled that while MLB went too far, Bauer was worthy of having the longest suspension in MLB history. Bauer moved on to play in Japan, without a fight, or public outrage. At the moment, neither Bauer, nor MLB have provided any information about the evidence MLB compiled in its investigation. I’m pretty sure Bauer wants to keep it that way.
Blackpink in the area
So you think Bauers suspension that happened to be EXACTLY the number of games he missed was completely fair and that’s totally a coincidence?
I don’t think so.
I don’t know what evidence is going to come out that would make Bauer look worse than he already does in some people’s eyes. The idea that he’s worried about that is ridiculous. Completely ridiculous.
Jonny5
Don’t mind me, I’m just here for the comments 😀
Jonny5
Anyone bring any popcorn?!
thebirds
I may have hit a nerve..
Bobcastelliniscat
Same with me.. when I saw Bauer’s name pop up in the comments, my first thought was there will be people in the comments falling all over themselves to excuse the POS’ behavior and I wasn’t disappointed.
astros_fan_84
MLB didn’t like Bauer in the first place, as he was very outspoken against the league. Plus public perception is more important than reality. Based on his version of events, he was set up. However, that may not matter.
A cautionary tale for professional athletes. I remember the Cowboys once cut Lucky Whitehead because he matched the description of a suspect. Once he was cleared a day or two later, the team declined to resign him.
NickTheDev
I can’t believe they left the comments open… and seriously why write the entire story every time they mention Bauer, just put him on the list and don’t write a recap. And Urias career is over.
Blackpink in the area
Censoring all comments about Bauer isn’t right. It’s that kind of thing that Bauer is going to use as evidence he’s being treated unfairly and blackballed by MLB.
If this site makes an independent choice to do so fine but that in itself is a slippery slope. If MLB advises this site or others not to mention him that’s grounds for a lawsuit.
MLBTR needs to hire editors
“Censorship” lmao, this isn’t the government. Private entities like MLBTR have a right under the First Amendment to censor you. You must be anti-free speech.
drasco036
I can’t believe that teams have been in on German after all his issues in New York while Urias and Bauer have both been persona non grata.
I’d personally like to see the Cubs grab Woodruff on a two year deal and pray he can return late next season.
PutPeteinthehall
You don’t want Woodruff. Even if he makes it back it’s doubtful he will be the same.
exrobinsoncanofan
No matter what you think of Bauer (and I for one think he is guilty of making terrible choices, but nothing criminal) no team will sign him. Teams have froze out many talented players with less baggage. I hope I’m wrong, but we’ll see.
Curveball1984
In reality, he’s the Curt Flood of his generation. The charges were a setup & distraction, and frankly are personal business no one should know about. Bauer not only exposed the sticky stuff in MLB, but openly bragged about it and rubbed it in the commish’s face. His lone wolf routine one could argue is why the Union left him twisting in the breeze. He picked a fight with a bigger bully… and lost. It happens. I wish someone would give him a deal, let him put up a 5.06 ERA, and put the career to bed. Because until that happens, the subject will remain touchy.
Johnny Devil
Lol ludicrous and dimwitted comment made by someone who read about curt flood.

He pushed a girl he was with to the ground at a mall. She didn’t call the police someone else did. She didn’t want to press charges. There were no injuries. That’s what I know.
dubtastic
don’t forget about the similar incident at the LAFC game.. that’s twice at this point
Blackpink in the area
Yes that’s the whole reason this is the issue that it is. Nobody has forgot about that. It’s 2 very ticky tack domestic violence charges. And the only reason anyone cares about the second is because there was a first.
This isn’t 1974 where the man comes home and beats his wife because she overcooked dinner.
dubtastic
I wouldn’t count public altercations, especially domestic violence, as ticky tack..
Blackpink in the area
He pushed a girl to the ground. It’s 2024. If women want equal treatment then let’s not call nonsense like that domestic violence.
dubtastic
doesn’t matter, that type of behavior in public is not acceptable: whether it’s elders, adults, children, animals..whatever it may be, the exposure is not good for anyone to witness..yes, times have changed but let’s not allow ou society (especially in this country) go downhill..the moral standards should still be applied and upheld, especially now w/the existence of social media..
dubtastic
no one came to a professional soccer game or shopping to see someone being physically abused..
Blackpink in the area
If it was 2 dudes the security guard would have told them to stop and they would have went on their way. Nobody got hurt. Again womens rights, which I am a big believer in, go both ways. No more treating women like they are delicate snowflakes that can’t handle life.
dubtastic
I’m an advocate on women’s rights as well but the rights were based of societal inequality not physical altercation..if that were the case, then MMA would have male and female fighters matchup or allowing females played in the NFL..so, I’ll rephrase my last comment to “no one wanted to see a beatdown” especially if that person/suspect is an employee of professional sports..
Blackpink in the area
He pushed her to the ground. She had no injuries she was fine. It was stupid on his part but calling that domestic violence is a bit of a stretch.
Nobody beat anyone down. She wasn’t hurt at all. If she was I wouldn’t be saying what I am saying.
dubtastic
he more than just pushed her..according to multiple sources: he grabbed her from behind, slammed her to the fence, pulled her hair, and swung a punched..that sounds more than a push and definitely not ticky tack, that behavior should not be for the eyes of families to witness..
dubtastic
also the victim had strangulation marks, which is pretty much an injury..And had he made contact when he swung the punch, the victim would easily get injured..such a shame too because Urias was a guess celebrity for the LAFC game that was welcoming Lionel Messi..

That is absolutely not what I read happened.

Yamamoto, Glasnow, Buehler, Paxton and their young bucks…..do they have room? Unless the young guys like Miller (I think. I’m a Midwest guy) can wait in the BP or minors until Paxton undoubtedly gets hurt.
vtadave
lol Miller isn’t going to the minors or to AAA. He’ll probably throw the second most innings on the team this year.

Kinda why I asked if there was room for Ryu. I knew at least one young guy from last year’s rotation wasn’t going anywhere.

Kinda fascinating how teams are becoming hyper vigilant about over paying for players coming off of peak years.
I think the future could wind up being a ton of 1-2 year deals at record breaking AAV’s and players giving up on reaching the $200M+ benchmark.
Because that’s been an issue this off season- Bellinger and Snell both want to clear $200M in guaranteed money, but nobody wants to give them the years that amount of money would require. And yet- both would easily get multiple offers of 1 year/$35M or 2 years/$60M, etc. if they’d settle for those short term lengths.
The discrepancy between the total dollars desired and the total years required to get to those dollars is fascinating.
I don’t think these guys really care about getting 6 or 7 years, they just know they can’t possibly get an AAV that would allow them to reach their dollar amount goals in less than the years they’re asking for.
Maybe teams and players should meet halfway.
You want 6-7 years for $200M? We will give you 2 years/$80M or 3 years/$111M.
I mean, these are players with really streaky, inconsistent track records, they can’t honestly believe they’ll live up to 5+ year deals, let alone 4 year deals, even if they’re absolutely worth and have earned a $35M or $45M salary for one year.
I think these guys and these teams need to meet in the middle or everybody should just do the Dodgers thing.
2 years/$350M, $300M deferred from 2030-2050 lol.
TrillionaireTeamOperator
That’s why it’s such an issue. There’s no way to know if he’ll be barely worth $10M or if he’ll be worth practically $50M and even if you assume it’s one or the other and split the difference on an AAV, that could still be a massive overpay, especially on an annual basis.
Unfortunately, I think there are certain players who are legitimate candidates to get paid wildly different year over year based on the previous year’s results.
Teams are basically always paying for past performance, so why not just embrace that idea?
You’re a Cy Young runner up or winner last year? 1 year/$40M. You regress horrifically and are a 1.2 WAR player the next year? 1 year/$10M. You bounce back and you’re not exactly Cy Young level, but you’re legitimately productive and relatively consistent? 1 year/$17.5M.
So that’d be 3 years/$67.5M- but the reality is that asking a Cy Young winner to ‘settle’ for $22M a year is an underpay. The reality is that a former Cy Young winner asking for $22M a year after an absolute cratering drop off in productivity is asking for way too much money.
Snell is basically the perfect example of a player that would be best approached on a year to year basis.
There have been a few of those guys recently, where they sign for like 1 year/$1.5M, they perform at their peak, they get 1 year/$13M, they drop off a bit, they get 1 year/$6.5M, they bounce back a bit and get 1 year/$9M etc. etc. and for certain players that’s a completely appropriate approach to their contracts, their careers- they’re up and down performers and should be paid accordingly.
The number of contracts with static values over many years that actually work out to be fair pay is incredibly low. Most are massive underpays or overpays. Very few are truly fair value over their lifetimes.
WiffleBall
I understand why Boras (and Snell) would demand more from the Yankees after they shelled out so much for Rodon. But after Rodon, I also understand why the Yankees don’t want to go much higher than their current offer.
Plus, the Yanks have already signed Stroman, and Monty — a very well-known pitcher to the Yanks — can still be had.
James Midway
Clevinger had a pedestrian 2022? If by pedestrian you mean when your team jumps out to a 4-run lead in the first inning of a pivotal NLCS game and you hand it right back then yes he was pedestrian.
Blackpink in the area
Look at the bright side. Odds are the Padres won’t make the playoffs in 2024
And they can’t afford Clevinger. So you won’t have to worry about any of that.
James Midway
Odds were that they would last year. So as Han Solo would say “don’t tell me the odds”. They still have have a good team so they will be fine. They could buy Clevenger a few times over, but who would want to?
PutPeteinthehall
Wouldn’t be too sure about being able to afford him. League issued a warning over spending.

Bauer to Pittsburgh, make it so.

Lifelong Buccos fan and I’d be done if they signed that guy. Even without his off-field mess, he’s just so unlikeable.
AAAAProspect
Why? He seems like a loud mouth but he isn’t actually a criminal and winning is winning. He is no more unlikable than Barry was but every fan in Pittsburgh wanted him to come back in 93.
joew
Assuming he pitches close to what he did before he left the MLB, I think it would be reasonable to say he would be worth around 5 more wins if he pitches 32 games minimum probably closer to 10 possibly more if he gets any sort of offensive support.
Pirate fans have thicker skin as long as hes not attacking fans, teammates or the franchise I would think we could handle someone being off putting.
acoss13
Bauer is not pitching in 2024. He has ongoing cases to settle. Urias, well he’s definitely on the hot seat, doubtful he plays in 2024.
Curveball1984
“But the DA’s office did not proclaim [Bauer] innocent”. Because that’s not their job, nor what we do in this country Steve. You’re innocent until PROVEN guilty in front of a jury of your peers. I don’t even think judges should be allowed to hand down decisions, personally. This “not guilty, doesn’t mean innocent” crap is garbage made up by a prosecutor’s office to rationalize why a defense attorney kicked their arse in court. Lack of proceeding with charges = innocent. Not guilty verdict = innocent. If not, then we need to go back to public trials with violent mobs and public stoning within hours of being accused of something. If you remain guilty regardless of lack of evidence or a ‘Not guilty verdict, than there’s no reason for courts or a rule of law. This has bugged me since OJ.
Johnny Devil
12 of bauers peers would be serial deviants who enjoy beating women while engaging in near death experiences. Not someone I want on my major league roster.
Blackpink in the area
The DA didn’t proclaim Bauer innocent????
Uh that’s not how the legal system works. You are presumed innocent until proven guilty. He not only couldn’t prove Bauer guilty there was so little evidence he didn’t even want to go to trial. That means Bauer is innocent. That’s how the justice system works.
Reynaldo
You can also lump Clevinger into the spousal abuse/domestic violence bucket with Bauer and Urias.

He should have been handed a year suspension when he head hunted the Rays player a few years ago.

Shame that Snell is getting blackballed and swept under the rug by the powers that be and by the fans in general. He should have at least a 8 year $350+ million contract already weeks ago
LambchoP
Twins need someone from this list. Claiming that they are going to be competitive and repeat as central champs while losing Sonny Grey, Kenta Maeda and Tylor Mahle and not replacing any of them with anyone legit is ridiculous!
martras
Falvey doesn’t seem able to get teams to buy in to value for Polanco, Kepler and Farmer so I don’t think the Twins are going to have the payroll capacity to add an expensive arm.
That said, time is running out for Snell and Montgomery to sign. They could find themselves taking a pillow contract. If the Twins are able to move a little more off the roster in terms of payroll, I could see them signing a short contract relatively high AAV contract if it comes down to it.
D-Nice
The A’s or some other low budget team should sign Bauer and Urias for the price of their lawyer fees. I kid, of course. They should come cheap though.
66TheNumberOfTheBest
It is true that Bauer has never been found guilty in a court of law and forced to pay $83.3 million by a jury or anything like that.
But…that still doesn’t mean it’s good business for a team to sign him.
Seems like people understood that when it was the Niners QB or Ray Rice but forgot it somewhere along the way when it’s Bauer.
AAAAProspect
Ray Lewis shot a guy. Plaxico Burress shot himself. Mike Vick shot dogs. People forgive a lot when they think the guy will help them win.
There are still Giants fans who will defend Bonds since he helped them win games. Some people say if you look closely, you can see Barry’s head growing bigger by the second.
sillyscully
Kersh is either retiring or returning to the Dodgers (in August/September realistically) for one last WS ring. Texas is only listed as an option because he lives there…but hate to break it to Rangers fans (congrats on WS btw), he’s not playing for any other team than Dodger blue. On another note, hopefully Bauer does make it back to MLB! Solid guy in person, don’t believe allegations one bit; especially since he legally cleared himself from all of it. Urias on the other hand, should have a lifetime ban for doing it twice and being caught red handed. Adames, good luck mi amigo. The law in DR ain’t like the US…and good luck getting back to the states with that criminal record.
fenwayfrank
I can’t believe Justin Turner is still out there. He was a big time bat as well as a clubhouse plus last year. His bat is still there, almost 100 ribbies last season. I’ll take him back. A combo of 1b-3b- DH, we can fit him in. Plus his addition might bring a trade about

No mention of Matt Boyd. I know he had TJS late last June, but neither Kershaw or Woodruff will be available until late in the 2024 season either..

Mariners should take a flyer on Bauer. Yes I know he is a head case and can rub people wrong way, but he can also go 175 innings and maybe 200k with a 3.50 ERA. The risk on a $10M deal 1 yr deal IS LOW.
