As is typical for the Rays in a given offseason, they’ve been active on the trade market so far in 2023-24. Tampa Bay has shipped out Tyler Glasnow, Manuel Margot, Luke Raley, Andrew Kittredge, Vidal Brujan and Calvin Faucher in a quartet of deals, and they’re likely not finished. Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Rays have been shopping first baseman/left fielder/designated hitter Harold Ramirez to clubs in need of a right-handed bat.
The Rays’ willingness to trade Ramirez isn’t necessarily new or surprising. He stood as a logical trade candidate coming into the winter, given his projected $4.4MM salary in arbitration (courtesy of MLBTR contributor Matt Swartz) and dwindling club control. Ramirez has just two years of club control remaining and limited defensive value, and Tampa Bay has regularly proven willing to trade bats fitting that description over the years. Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reported back in November that the Rays had explored trade scenarios involving Ramirez leading into the non-tender deadline. Still, it’s notable to see Rosenthal suggest that talks are ongoing and to suggest that the Rays themselves have initiated at least some of them.
Ramirez, 29, is out of minor league options — although his recent track record in the big leagues should leave him in no danger of being sent down anyhow. Since being acquired from the Cubs in a trade sending Esteban Quiroz back to Chicago, he’s tallied 869 plate appearances and turned in a .306/.348/.432 batting line with 18 home runs, 43 doubles, a pair of triples and eight steals (in 16 attempts). Ramirez hasn’t walked much in that time (4.7%) but has a lower-than-average strikeout rate (17.4%). By measure of wRC+, he’s been 23% better than average at the plate in a Rays uniform.
Of course, some of that stems from the Rays’ aggressive utilization of platoon setups. Ramirez has more than held his own against righties both with the Rays (.279/.332/.401, 107 wRC+) and in his career (.275/.314/.404, 99 wRC+). However, the overwhelming bulk of his damage has come when he’s feasted against left-handed pitching (.374/.412/.509 with Tampa Bay; .323/.363/.453 in his career).
The Rays gave Ramirez a combined 401 innings between first base and the outfield corners in 2022 but cut that already-small total to a tiny 117 innings in 2023. It’s clear that the organization is hardly enamored of his defensive aptitude, but there’s also little doubt that Ramirez can flat-out hit. He has more gap power than true home run pop, but any team in search of a right-handed bat would figure to be intrigued by the possibility of plugging Ramirez into at least a part-time role. Depending on the fit, he could profile as an everyday option for a team without a set option at designated hitter and/or some flexibility at first and in the outfield corners.
The deadline for teams and players to exchange arbitration figures is this coming Friday. That’s hardly a set deadline to move arb-eligible players, but it has also at times served as an impetus for some movement on the trade market for such players. Moving Ramirez could create some extra opportunities for the latest wave of talented young Rays hitters — a group including the likes of Curtis Mead, Jonathan Aranda and top prospect Junior Caminero. From a payroll vantage point, moving Ramirez would drop Tampa Bay’s projected Opening Day mark south of $90MM, creating additional room to pursue help at other areas of need (e.g. catcher, starting pitching) in free agency.

Just trade him to the Dodgers already…
Larry Brown's crank
funny statement….but halfway true too! I hate them.
Fever Pitch Guy
Larry – I don’t blame you for hating the Rays, this is a classic example of why their attendance and ratings are so poor despite contending the past few years. Trading off all your regulars before they become free agents is a great way to alienate your fanbase.
My Red Sox need to understand this.
StPeteStingRays
Ratings are poor, eh? Keep spewing ignorance, and hopefully your fever breaks soon.
Must sux to see our fanless team consistently better than yours.

5 straight playoff seasons, 2 division titles and a WS appearance is alienating fans? I wish the Yanks would alienate me like that.
Fever Pitch Guy
TampaStingRays – You want to be arrogant and condescending? Then at least confirm before accusing others of being wrong.
Below is from the 2020 ALCS, what makes it even worse is that there were no games in Tropicana and people were stuck at home and STILL the ratings absolutely sucked.
sportsmediawatch.com/2020/10/mlb-postseason-rating…
“Monday’s Game 2 of the MLB American League Championship Series (Astros-Rays) averaged 1.88 million viewers on TBS, marking the least-watched LCS game on record, regardless of league or network. The previous low was set less than 24 hours earlier by Game 1 of the same series, which averaged a 1.1 rating and 2.07 million viewers on Sunday night.”
But what do you expect of a fanbase that has the SMALLEST MLB POSTSEASON GAME ATTENDANCE IN MORE THAN A CENTURY.

Couldn’t be more right fever!!
Kind of crazy that a rays fan doesn’t see anything wrong here. Even for a playoff game you can get seats by the field, good luck with that at any other stadium
stymeedone
If the Rays had high attendance and then it dropped, you’d have an argument. Their attendance hasn’t dropped, so what you have is a fallacy. Their attendance is due to the market, and the access.
Tigers3232
@Fever, yes it was dismal attendance at the playoff opener. However it was a late scheduled mid week day game. Not by any means ideal. Especially for first round for a fanbase that the novelty of playoff berths is nothing new.
Valkyrie
In a fall that has already seen historically low ratings for the NBA, NHL, Triple Crown and more, it appears that Major League Baseball is the next in line.
Nice cherry pick
Fever Pitch Guy
Stud – Congrats, you are officially the very first Yankee fan to wish the Yankees were the Rays .. a team that hasn’t even had a legit ALCS appearance since 2008.
And the Yanks have had SIX during the same period, while also winning a legit WS and having another WS appearance literally stolen from them by the cheating Astros … and oh yeah, while always having at least a couple superstars on the Yankees who have been with the team a long, long time.
But hey, what you don’t have is always better than what you do have …. right?
Fever Pitch Guy
Larry – Haha …. okay, duly noted!
The real Oscar Gamble
Doesn’t that number reflect the Astros also?
Fever Pitch Guy
BoJu – Thanks! I’m actually quite familiar with the Rays organization, been to many games at the Trop, spoken to many Rays fans. They all say the same thing. Prices are extremely high, they are angry that you can’t buy tickets at the box office and therefore have to pay crazy online fees, and they are tired of the constant revolving door of players.
The new stadium will help, but I don’t think that much. It’s a similar situation to the Marlins, if you don’t spend the money to retain players then you are basically operating like a minor league team.
fljay73
You better check the actual ratings then. The Rays may never get 3 million fans a season but their TV ratings have been healthy for awhile.
Fever Pitch Guy
stymee – Did Tropicana Field somehow change markets over the years?
They drew 2.5M in 1998, long before Covid so none of the attendance was cardboard cutouts.
They also drew between 1.8M-1.9M from 2008-2010.
But in 2019 they drew just 1.179M despite winning 96 games.
Even last year, despite their incredible first half record and 99 wins, they had the 4th-worst attendance in MLB.
In 2022, third worst attendance in MLB.
If they ever want to get back to 2008-2010 levels, they need to retain a core group of players. It’s unfortunate that Wander could have been part of a new core.
BoJuBi
Whatever the reason is doesn’t matter. People don’t show up, so the attendance is low. I’m sure there are several reasons but the outcome is the same
Fever Pitch Guy
Tigers – There were no other midweek day playoff games over the past 100 years?
So teams like the Braves, Yankees, Dodgers, Astros also have historically low playoff attendance because the postseason is nothing new to them?
Sorry, that’s just not logical. And a huge portion of the Rays market is people who don’t work, so midweek day games isn’t an issue with them.
Fever Pitch Guy
Valkyrie – How about you backing up what you claim … like I’m doing right here.
forbes.com/sites/maurybrown/2023/10/05/mlb-regiona…
The 29 U.S. clubs in Major League Baseball saw an increase in ratings for the 2023 season. Looking at other programming that saw declines shows baseball’s strength during the summer.
Based on ratings in the U.S. (the Toronto Blue Jays fall under a different system in Canada), the regional sports networks for MLB showed a +7% increase for the regular season that ended on Sunday, September 30. Out of those, 16 clubs showed gains, three were ostensibly flat, and 10 showed declines
StudWinfield
I’m just one of those weird fans who doesn’t care much about 1 team players. We just got lucky that Jeter, Bernie, Posada and Rivera were at least reasonably productive till the end. I would have liked to have seen Pettite stay but not because of the “1 team” legacy but because he pitched pretty well for HOU.
Besides, what superstars has TB moved that really would have made a difference to fans? Price? Longoria? Neither of which made an AS team or garnered a single CY or MVP down vote once they left TB.
Tigers3232
@Fever, it was a 3PM Tues game that was bot scheduled til that Sun evening. So yes the timing of scheduling was horrible. Ass that to the novelty of playoffs waning and alot of people won’t be willing or simply not able to adjust schedule on that short of notice.
And the average age in Tampa is 35.9 years of age, for comparison the average age in New York City is 36.9. So false assumption there on a huge portion of Rays market being people who don’t work…
And I’m not trying to dispute that Rays have had weak attendance, they clearly have. But pointing to that’s single playoff game is kind of trying to spin a narrative without many facts. With today’s expanded playoffs teams and fans get less notice than ever. The MLB set them up for failure with the scheduling of that particular game. That’s just reality.

In fairness to the Cubs, Ramirez only had a grand total of 5 innings at first base (with Cleveland) and was awful. He was a corner outfielder with no power and poor defense while they had Happ and Suzuki.
If I remember correctly, Ramirez was a spring training trade but I’m not sure if we even had him that long.
Of course, he goes to Tampa, and does nothing but hit for a high average while in 22 we got nothing from DH or 1st base.
Mercenary.Freddie.Freeman
@french. I am interested if Jake Mangum makes his MLB debut in 2024 who the Rays traded Vidal Brujan for. Mangum has some nice minors numbers.

So true, French. I thought the Tigers won the Meadows-Paredes trade for sure. Then, Meadows hardly ever played again and Paredes hits 30+ jacks. The next team should act like they’ll trade with Tampa just to see who they want. Then say no and put that guy in their cleanup spot, lol.

TAKERDBACKS
God I hope I’m wrong but this has dbacks written all over it.
Joel P
That was my first thought. Why is that a bad thing?
TAKERDBACKS
Cause we need a solid lefty power threat. To many righties. Unless we get JD. We have walker, suarez, gurriel, moreno in the middle of the order. Joc would be good.
Joel P
Lot of lefties already on the Diamondbakcs although yeah power lefty seems to be a need.
TAKERDBACKS
Who? Corbin and who else? Ketel is a switch and so is perdomo. Alek is a ok hitter and the only other lefty. Pavin doesn’t play and is terrible. We need a lefty.
Joel P
Marte, Perdomo, Carroll, Thomas, McCaarthy and Smith. Did I miss anyone?
That’s more lefties than most teams have. Like I said yes power lefty bat looks like a need. Did you catch that part?
Fever Pitch Guy
Taker – JD Martinez played for the DBacks long ago, and he wants to return. That would be a great signing for them if he can stay healthy.
TAKERDBACKS
Dude your preaching to the biggest dbacks fan ever. I loved him and wished he never left
TAKERDBACKS
Those aren’t all lefties and 2 guys who don’t play alot. I said they were switch. I mean Lefties only. Mccarthy could have been the guy but he’s not consistent. to play the dodgers we need a lefty against all those tough righties.
Joel P
If a guy is a switch hitter then he hits lefty when needed. Isn’t that what matters in the context of this conversation?
Pretty sure the Diamondbacks were one of the worst teams in baseball against lefty pitchers last year.
Jaysfansince92
FWIW I read an article that said Martinez’s market had narrowed down to the Jays and the Giants. Dbacks may have decided Martinez is too expensive.

This isn’t actually a bad opportunity for the Dbacks to get a significant upgrade over Pavin Smith for fairly low money and very little drain on the Dbacks minor league talent.
I know we are all hoping to get surprised by the Dbacks making a big splash at the DH spot with J,D. Martinez or Soler, but those $15-20M per year price tags are awfully daunting.

This is who Seattle needs. He’s worthy of one of those young pitchers.
G.M. Ima Scapegoat
That’s a steep price to pay for a soon to be 30 year old DH flashing 12hr power. Career ops in the .700s, poor fielder, a couple mid tier pitching prospects because he’s still controllable. He could be the right piece for a team looking for a Platoon+ player.
Big whiffa
Is that really your assessment of the guy or did the article give u that impression bc it didn’t seem to reflect the quality of production Ramirez put up last season ? He was much better than Oscar Hernandez who just got 23 million. And he’s WAY better than France ! He’d also immediately become the second best bat in that weak lineup
G.M. Ima Scapegoat
A dh only bat with limited power for 4-5 years of a quality pre arb pitcher? He’s a fine hitter but limited as a player. Considering he’s due to regress from a .396 BABIP in the second half in which he hit a whopping 3 Hrs it’s a high price to pay in my opinion.
stymeedone
Tampa will want some non roster players in return. At most, someone not on the 25. Relax.
Tigers3232
@whiffa, Ramirez is a pretty good contact hitter. But his glove his horrible, has little power, rarely walks, and doesn’t have much speed.
Murphy NFLD
He would get 10M as a floor IMO as a FA. Hes more a Platoon type but he has a legit bat with great numbers vs LHP avd just above average vs RHP. Im like the jays to pick him up if they cant trade for the big guys i want or sign Rhys and i really think even tho he doesnt have big power hes better then spending 15-18 per over 3-5 years for Soler. Soker just isnt consistent enough.

He was 1 of the players the jays got in the drew Hutchinson trade with the bucs C Mcguire, OF Ramirez and P Larino. Any way this guy is the type of the bat the jays need to add to the OF/DH mix if they dont trade for Nick Castellanos or Eloy Jimenez as i have been yelling from the roof tops lol. Atkins said a LHH to the OF/DH mix but they has 2 everyday LHH OFs and util Biggio as a 3rd. I think they need a LHP masher and this guy fits the bill. The jays have Zulu as a Relief pitcher with velo that they covet to trade them and or other out of option good util+ type players like Otto Lopez
Murphy NFLD
I realize they may not want Lopez as he is out of options but he plays every where but SS and C and can handle SS in a pinch. He also has wheels and is a contact guy who i think if the jays wernt over loaded already he would be on the team

Pan- Lots of teams salary dump. This was a rather early one in 2016 but they saved $20M in Liriano’s salary for two limited young players.Neither of these guys were setting the minors on fire and have become limited players on other teams while being traded fairly often. They both showed relatively little after the trade taking time to become decent ML players and both are still limited.
its_happening
Complementary OF piece with two LH hitting outfielders whose bats are suspect. A Ramirez type bat would allow Varsho and Kiermaier to focus on RH pitching.
The best case scenario is Ramirez hits well enough to gain more playing time. Worst-case he’s slightly better versus lefties.
Murphy NFLD
YouExactly id like Hoskins if they are going FAs. And if they dont trade for big guys i want, Harold will be farly cheap and is a better complementary piece to the OF line up. KK varsho, Springer and Biggio are the OFs right now and i dont understand why Atkins said a LHH OF/DH bat when someone great at hitting LHP was something they lacked last year. As of right now, off the top of my head they have 2 LHH to olay against LHP in the OF right now. I guess Davis Schneider can play LF against LHP but then Espinal is your 2b. The team needs 2 bats not 1 a LHH IF hopefully Barger takes 3B and a RHH OF IMO
its_happening
Bingo! The moment they traded for Varsho was the moment they needed to get a RH outfield bat. They didn’t and they suffered.
Doubtful Barger is the 3B. Jays didn’t play him or Orelvis enough at 3B plus Barger’s bat did not light the world on-fire. Orelvis made one adjustment last year that completely turned things around.
But hey…we’ll see if Barger comes into camp ready and hungry.
Jaysfansince92
KK would have been the better one to platoon. Varsho actually had a higher OPS vs. LHP last year then he did RHP and a higher OPS vs. LHP than KK while also being the better defensive player of the 2. Don’t let facts get in the way of your Varsho hate though.
its_happening
.722 to .708. The difference is minimal. If you could read, at it appears you can’t, my first comment said Varsho and Kiermaier. I’d like to see the best out of the Jays. Highly doubt you want the same.
My second also said the moment Varsho was acquired (Kiermaier was acquired first last year), Jays needed a RH bat. They did not secure one and suffered. But hey, talk up the “ wE dOn’t knOw VarshOw’s trUe vAlUe!!!”.
Mmmkay….
Jaysfansince92
Yup you got me. I’ve been watching the Jays for 30 years just to see them fail. All of your posts involve insulting the other person and never going into any evidence beyond what you can find on the back of a baseball card. We get it. You don’t like the new stats and want everyone to go back to talking about baseball the same way it was done before analytics was a thing.
its_happening
Did you not insult me? The last line about facts when you brought, well, little of it?
You’ve only watched for 30 years but given your namesake it would be 32 but let’s not let facts get in the way.
By watching over 30 years you should be able to tell who can do what and who can’t. By arguing with me over having a RH tells me you’d rather pick a fight and see failure. That’s on you. Analytics? You are lying to yourself and others if you believe Daulton Varsho was the 3rd most valuable player on the Jays in 2023 – WAR said that.
Wake up.
Jaysfansince92
I’m tired of seeing you constantly crap on Varsho who is in fact a valuable player. Just because you value offense over defense doesn’t make that any less true. Saving a run is just a valuable as driving one in. I have replied with stats to back up my arguementd while you just use rhetoric. If you think his defense isn’t valuable then show me some numbers to back that up. At no point did I turn to personal insults while you insinuated that I can’t read as well other comments in previous posts. If you think me disagreeing with you is a personal insult than I don’t know what to tell you.
Jaysfansince92
Just to give you another example of why Varsho’s defense is valuable look at how much better Kikuchi and Berrios were in 2023. Both of them are flyball pitchers and having him and KK out there allowed them to do much better than when they had to rely on Teo and Lourdes.
Not knowing whether a routine flyball or even one a little less routine will be caught or not does a number on a pitcher’s confidence. They start feeling like everything has to be on the corner and they can’t afford to throw a strike or they will get lit up. Kikuchi’s walk rate was cut nearly in half from 2022 to 2023. Both of them cut nearly 2 runs off of their ERA from the previous season.
When you know the OF will get a glove on every catchable ball and even some that you wouldn’t expect to be caught is huge for a flyball pitcher’s confidence. They can just focus on throwing strikes and not have to worry about trying to strike everyone out.
OilCanLloyd
Adam Duvall is a name the Jays should consider over Ramirez. RH bat. Dude can slug still. I think he fits where the Jays are at. OF and some 1B. 1yr/9M?

Haha Old York I see what you did there, sly dawg…putting out troll bait by mentioning Batting Average. Because we know trolls will come out of the woodwork to lecture everyone about how BA is so out-dated and blah blah blah things we have heard 8 million times before.
highheat
He may or may not have meant it as bait, but negative regression is a legitimate concern.
If his xBA is to be believed, then he was pretty lucky on batted balls (although, not THAT lucky; a .270 xBA is pretty up there in MLB).
The biggest concern is the swinging strikes; his SwStr% and Whiff% are ridiculously elevated (as are his O-Swing% and Chase%), but he swings so early and so often that he avoids 2-strike counts with enough frequency to run a below average K%. But that comes with an incredibly low BB% as well (with no demonstrated proclivity for attracting HBPs)
The next biggest issue is the fact that he’s hitting groundballs almost 55% of the time; he hits the ball hard at a healthy rate, but because there isn’t much lift his HR ceiling is limited.
The glove is what it is; teams get plenty far with guys faking it in the COF and at 1B, but the total package is something like a really good role player (in spite of holdong his own against RHPs). There are plenty of teams that need the role that plays filled, so there should be some degree of interest around the league.
Very fragile profile, though; he doesn’t have much to fall back on if the bottom falls out on the Ks.
Big whiffa
So when it comes at AL East – how can u honestly put Tampa in the mix ? This is one of the biggest offseason organizational loses in recent franchise history- both quality and quality. They surely dip.
Red Sox are unwilling to add any significant payroll it seems. Neither are the orioles even though they should be loading up on pitching right now !
Yankees will get there’s this offseason no doubt. It’s coming. They are waiting for the market to correct itself just a little bit more and they will make a splash.
Be interesting to see if blue jays finally make a headliner or 3. They have talked a great game this offseason and backed it up w some light weight moves.

My moneys on the rays ability to replace Glasnows 10 wins, and Margot’s .686 ops, .6 War season. As for Ramirez, sell high, you can replace that production fairly easy on a 1 year deal, maybe Duvall (21hrs, .834 OPS). The wander Franco problem is obviously hard to fix but there’s enough to suggest a 99 win team won’t necessarily regress beyond the 85 wins that now get you into the postseason.

In case your questions aren’t rhetorical in nature, no, I don’t get a percentage of ticket sales. And playing to a near empty house is not a good thing.
Apologies for upsetting you, FSG. Apparently, I’ve hit a nerve.
FloridaSportsGuy
Deflect to avoid addressing my questions, good discussion.

Tell me if you’ve seen this before. Rays acquire a journeyman type of player. This player goes on to have his best major league numbers. Rays then trade said player at peak value and said player never again reaches that peak. And the player that they acquire? He also has his best years and hits the road in a year or so for another….etc.
acoss13
4.4 million is “expensive” for Tampa. Guess they’re doing what they do best, trade them while they have value and before they start making too much money in arbitration…
StPeteStingRays
And compete year in and year out. The Rays way.
FloridaSportsGuy
More like trade them while they have more value to obtain more MLB players and prospects. Why wait until the deadline on their last year before trading them to get a subpar return?
El Chupacabra
Yup, there’s a method to the madness. Can’t really quibble with the Rays’ results, though.
ClevelandSteelEngines
Short platoon stud? probably a funky reliever and a middle infielder prospect with no power.
Melchez17
Tigers have Mark Canha… they could have had O’Neil or Ramirez… No, go with the 35 year old who can’t run or play the field.
rickoppelt
Mariners could use his bat and backup defense at multiple positions
Ignorant Son-of-a-b
His defense is spotty and negligible. Maybe at 1B but not OF and our DH spot is full.
Erik J.
I hate to be this person, but I think my belief in the Rays always being relevant even with a roster that looks lackluster on paper is over. I just can’t see them having enough at this point to really compete in one of, if not the most competitive division. This may not age well though…
Madbummer
I have to agree with Erik and to compound the problem, Glasnow,Margot and Raley were great in the clubhouse. Team chemistry gonna take a big hit. Margot especially. He was the team leader for Latin players and Ramirez is the heir-apparent.
RobM
In some ways, running the Rays is “easier” than other teams. The GM doesn’t have to consider continuity or fan loyalty, or media backlash. No player is beyond trading.
Raysasineppswasplanted
Ha ha ha so he’s already
a Harol(a)d Ramirez…the dodgers will swap him for a low minors pitcher
Rsox
Would be a fit in Boston though not sure if the Rays would want to trade within the division
Angry Disgruntled Sox Fan
Bobby Dalbac and maybe someone else? Dalbac gives them the right handed bat and he’s so expendable. Wouldn’t get Ramirez on his own, though
alwaysgo4two
Dalbec? Not a bad idea. There’s a lot more to come from him. He has something to prove and it won’t be with Boston. Just a feeling.
Angry Disgruntled Sox Fan
Doubt they would take him, but it’s worth a try, especially if we package someone else with him. Would this guy solve our problem though?
stretch123
Not saying this just because Marlins and Rays have lined up already a couple times this offseason but he makes sense for the Marlins with it looking like Soler is leaving. And much cheaper as well. Marlins can then allocate additional funds to try and sign someone like Rosario for SS
willthethrill
Farhan, get on the line and make it happen!
braves95 2
Braves could use him to platoon in LF
/bUt He Is uNpLaYabLe iN LeFt FiELd
Yeah well Kelenic is unplayable vs LHP
Ignorant Son-of-a-b
That’s not true. His defense is stellar in LF. He really showed me how advantageous it is to be a Left Handed left fielder. He made plays on balls in the LF corner and LF foul areas that could only be made if you had speed and a glove on your right hand. Nothing shameful about his OF play and hustle.
budman3 2
While he’s not going to run down many balls, he has only made 2 errors in 1525 innings in LF/RF in his career.. There are plenty of guys who can’t say that. He is not the liability in the field that many beleive.
And oh yeah. He can hit!

I never count the Rays out. They seem to find a way more often than not.
Dumpster Divin Theo
Rays are good at counting stats. Except for hot dogs sold.
SweetBabyRayKingsThickThighs
He’ll get traded to a team that won’t use him in a platoon and be disappointed in his production
Liberalsteve
Rays should lose a draft pick over the Parades for meadows deal. They obviously knew of his mental illness and hid it
StPeteStingRays
We should gain 2 picks for signing Fat Pat no bat Burrell
Madbummer
That definitely crossed my mind with Meadows. Maybe they are making a Karmic payment as we speak.
DanUgglasRing
So many “defer lol” jokes. People think baseball fans are the smart ones, too.
THEY LIVE!!!
Maybe they can get a back up catcher for him. Austin Barnes?
MartialArtisan
Mariners should make the trade. He fits their budget and can fill in when Haniger inevitably goes down. If not, they could move France to 3rd and play him at 1st, limiting his defensive liability.
EvelKnievelVsGodzilla
Hate to see Ramirez stays in TB. His offense will be better in ‘24.
