All the questions about “would the Giants take Stanton or Rodon in a trade package” was sad. Stanton had a chance to go play for the Giants, glad he didn’t, Rodon played his cards right and went for the cash, the Giants have been knee deep in it with bad lengthy contracts. No way they want Rodon or Stanton at this point.

I bet Brian Cashman is enjoying watching Bryce Harper thrive in the playoffs while his employer paid Giancarlo Stanton $32 million dollars this year to play 100 games and hit below the Mendoza line 🙂

I am convinced certain guys like Harper are aided by being allowed to express their preferred hairstyle, etc with beards, longer hair, etc and they’d feel stifled with too much pressure in NY.
Not that they aren’t good with pressure, but that New York has this weird effect on a lot of players that makes them miserable and causes them to press and second guess at their performance in ways they don’t elsewhere.

I wonder if Florial will get a chance on the 26-man roster or at least half a season’s worth of ABs while Dominguez is recovering to test his big league potential. He can impact the ball and play center, but can he do it with sporadic playing time? Some doubt it due to high K rates and not having produced at the show as of yet. I hope he’s given a shot. Just don’t sign Bader; he’s constantly hurt. I still have Ellsbury flashbacks.
