Actually it’s pronounced “mill-e-wah-que,” which is Algonquin for, “the good land.”

Resign Josh Donaldson

I’m sure he wouldn’t sign for what the Brewers would be willing to pay him

“The Brewers biggest problem: payroll”
I will never understand how some fans feel the need to be budget watchers for billionaires. The only payroll issue Milwaukee has is that Attanasio is frugal and prefers to spend his money elsewhere. But you have people saying trade Yelich because you’ve got to rein in that payroll. Unbelievable.

abc123baseball;
It’s immature entitled morons like you that have me leaving this site.
If the Steinbrenner’s don’t have to go into their personal wealth to pay for players and field a team, why do other owners have to?
If a person buys a Subway sandwich franchise in an affluent area with lots of people (i.e. potential customers) and is making lots of profit, he/she/they might redecorate the place every year or so, make sure the real estate around the the shop is in great shape in order for customers can get in and out easily so that it’s a pleasure for the customers to drive up to the shops entrance.
On the other hand, if a person buys a Subway sandwich franchise in a poor area where they aren’t lot of potential customers, and his store begins to run down, the concrete in the parking lot is cracking and needs to be repaved, his insurance is high because people in the neighborhood break into stores far more often than in affluent areas – and the owner is making no where near the profit the owner in an affluent area is making – why should he/she/they delve into their personal bank account to fix up the store and the surrounding area?
Until MLB has pretty much total revenue sharing as the NBA and NFL have small market teams are going to be at a disadvantage because they have to pay the same salaries to players that produce the same no matter what market they play in. Period.
It’s time to grow up, kid. No one throws money after something if they’re not going to get that money back…..and more.
Am sick of reading this crap on here. This country is at only the start of an economic collapse because people like you think there’s a free lunch. Yesterday I went to buy some club soda (I don’t drink alcohol with it). In 2 weeks the price went up 35%. There’s no other brand I can buy because the 2 other companies that used to produce it in my area went out of business recently…see, businesses don’t exist to lose money….and no matter what you read or hear, the government isn’t going to produce club soda at a reasonable price. The USA is looking more like the old Soviet Union every day.

Lol. What in the hell is this? Log off the internet for a long while, buddy.

The Orioles Mountcastle or Mayo in a package for Burnes in a package? I’m thinking the Brewers would want Mountcastle before Mayo? Looks like they are looking league level power hitting now; not in the future?
C Yards Jeff
Santander, Urias and O’Hearn at 1st base in 24. Bring Mayo up mid season and let get some reps in at 1st then in 25 he’s the starter. Yes? No? Maybe?

Brew Crew response to Juan Soto Deal.
You are on the right track.
Corbin Burns is the kind of starter the Padres need and want.
As for the other players in the deal, the Padres would probably ask for Chourio
and maybe a few other players/lottery tickets.
I year of Soto could lift the Brewers to the next level if he could get them to the World Series and maybe even help them win it.

Pitchers always have more value in a one year deal then a position player. if burnes and soto are headliners in the deal, padres are giving up prospects and $$.
chourio isn’t moving, all but guranteed, you don’t give the #2 prospect in baseball as a throw in.

With two of the top pitching prospects expected ready for next year and Ashby back I expect they resign Miley to go along with Burnes, Peralta and Houser. Woodruff made 11 starts this year. relax doomsday fans. The brewers always contend.
