A new Yankees front office, and a new manager is definitely most Yankee fans wish. It’s definitely not going to happen, so don’t get too excited. Smh

Boone is not the problem

I’ll bet Red Sox fans would salivate over Boone replacing Cora. I say we start malicious rumors.

Red Sox fans would salivate if they saw a sign saying “Mud for Free”.

No but I don’t think Boone is better than Girardi in any way.

Boone is not the problem? Maybe it’s time to go back to sleep then? He’s definitely one of the many problems. Smh.

The Yankees have been avoiding a much needed rebuild for eons because of this devotion to “World Series or Bust” mentality. The problem is the Yankees got old, and expensive. But because Cashman can’t do what really needed to be done, up until recently, they Yankees have looked like crap. And they’ll stay that way until they shed the old players, and move to even more younger, and athletic players.

At some point you need to bite the bullet. Cohen’s model is not sustainable.
You can’t just lose so much draft position and intl bonus money every draft if you keep running sky high payroll.
When guys have long term mega deals you’re either giving up your entire high-end farm to clear their money off the books, youre DFA’ing them which gets back to the draft/$issue, or you’re stuck playing out the string with them. There’s no real 4th option to do with a severely underperformed super high dollar player.

Your premise is quite right. Tonight’s results ensured the Mets have officially LOL’ed 2023. That’s what spendthrift signings will do for your ballclub.
