On the MLB Trade Rumors podcast, we’ll often answer questions submitted by our readers. With the next episode due Wednesday morning, we’re looking for MLBTR readers to submit their questions, and we’ll pick a few to answer.
The trade deadline is officially in the rearview mirror, but there’s still seven weeks of the regular season remaining. Whether it’s a deadline retrospective, a question surrounding postseason races, or a forward-looking question to the offseason trade/free agent markets — please send your questions to mlbtrpod@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
In the meantime, don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

It takes the father 3 hours to paint the bedroom and it takes the son 4 hours to paint the bedroom. If they paint the bedroom together, how long will it take them?

6 hours?
No Soup For Yu!
If they both start at the same time on the same room, after one hour the father will have painted a third of the room and the son a fourth of it. Taken as 12ths, that means the father will pain 4/12ths of the room and the son 3/12ths, making 7/12ths in total over one our. Divide 60 minutes by 7/12ths (.58333), and it would take them around 102 minutes and 51 seconds to complete the room. How’d I do? Can I be on the podcast, Steve?

Dividing by 7/12 is the same as multiplying by 12/7. I give you an A+ on the problem!

Hint: see the movie Little Big League, but I think I changed the numbers.

Kids today are amazing. I played winter ball down in Venezuela, they had kids half his age, every one of them speaking Spanish — and that’s a hard language!
