In Seager/Hader We Trust > the 70 MM DH Ohtani
Dylan Crews is not a pitcher.
Mark Polishuk
He sure isn’t, lol. One of my stranger brainlocks in a while.
In Seager/Hader We Trust > the 70 MM DH Ohtani
The first time, I thought it was a typo. The second time…
Mark Polishuk
Don’t worry, I know full well Crews is a terrific goalie.
LordD99
Are you sure?
Jean Matrac
“are the giants sellers or buyers at the deadline ?”
Low hanging fruit I guess. Why would Mark even bother to answer that question? My interest has cooled considerably on the chats. Maybe answer questions to provide more insight beyond what 95% of us already understand?
gbs42
They can only answer the questions that are asked. Maybe they aren’t getting good questions, or at least what you consider good questions.
Jean Matrac
Fair enough, but I thought the unanswered question I asked was more interesting than that. And I’m still wondering about it. I don’t mind that he didn’t select my question, but it’s annoying that Mark selected this question that most of us didn’t need answered, since we already knew it.
Jean Matrac
“Can the yankees find a take for Donaldson and stanton”
Seriously? There are no better questions than this? Exactly why I’m losing interest.

You should cancel your subscription then…..oh
Jean Matrac
Funny. I think I’ll just skip the chats. But as long as you find value in learning that the Giants won’t be sellers, and the Yankees won’t be able to unload Donaldson and Stanton, enjoy.
Joshy
Chats are fun. Sometimes the author may not have an answer, or they are in the progress of making an article addressing the question. One time one of my questions ended up being an article a few days later.
Jean Matrac
That’s very cool, Obviously yours’s was a good question, But that’s irrelevant. to my point about dumb questions getting answered. I seriously doubt we’ll see articles based on whether the Giants will be buyers or sellers, or whether the NYYs can unload Donaldson or Stanton.
I mean really, did you need Mark to publish answers in a chat to know the answer to either of those questions? If you think the chats are fun, then I’m not going to try and convince you otherwise. Enjoy them, but personally I see them as a waste of my time.
Melchez17
I will never complain about them not selecting my question(s) ever again. They selected 4 of my questions in one chat once. I was in heaven.

I don’t see Cleveland trading Emmanuel Clase at all. How many young players are going to want to sign an extension if they can get moved a year later?
In Seager/Hader We Trust > the 70 MM DH Ohtani
Relievers are volatile. Plenty of them flame out (Neal Cotts, Robbie Ross, Shawn Tolleson, Keone Kela, Joe Barlow maybe, Daniel Bard for over a decade, etc.). The Indians/Spiders/whatever they call themselves would probably do that deal in a heartbeat. A top 10 prospect doesn’t just get traded for a reliever with all the blown saves amd losses he has.
rundmc1981
Plenty, they still get that guaranteed money and could be dealt to more of a contender, which could even lead to another nice future contract by presumably padding stats on a grander stage. Closers are one of the easiest positions to replace, relative to others, especially with a pitching-rich farm like CLE.
In Seager/Hader We Trust > the 70 MM DH Ohtani
It seems Mets fans were right about their predictions for 4th place and a sub-500 season (so far)… it’s just the Mets instead of the first place Rangers in that mess. Lol
Sean The Trucker
How’s this for a trade question….
What hitter does a trade of Emerson Hancock, Harry Ford and a throw in major leaguer net for the Mariners?
In Seager/Hader We Trust > the 70 MM DH Ohtani
Sam Huff? Mitch Garver or Robbie Grossman/Travis Jankowski perhaps? If it’s a solid reliever throw-in, maybe Duran or Taveras
Gadzooks
The Mariners are not trading Harry Ford; they can find players on the market without trading their #1 prospect.
Angels & NL West
The Max Scherzer for Jordan Lawler trade suggestion was a joke, right?
In Seager/Hader We Trust > the 70 MM DH Ohtani
Scherzer is one of the most overrated pitchers since Nopan Ryan, not to mention he is making 43.3 million. That’s about 50% higher than he should have initially gotten, and he’s now maybe worth 18 million – 20 million. Nobody should give up anything of real value for him.
SportsFan0000
Scherzer and Verlander are both future Hall of Famers.

Ty
9:37 is there any way you could see a Zack Wheeler trade that nets the Phillies an MLB ready? Orioles seem like a great match.
Mark P
9:37 Uh, the Phillies have been one of the hottest teams in baseball over the last month. They’re definitely not trading Wheeler.
Did this remind anyone of the movie Step Brothers where Dale asks if Bonita fish are big?
Mark P is such a Derek.

All Star Veteran Inclusion should be Votto and Grienke.

Adell has hit AAA pitching well before, that’s not his problem.
