These writers have had so much attitude in their responses lately. All of them but Mark P. Seems like every other answer is them trying to dunk on someone or act like they know so much more, which they probably do, but just don’t answer the question if you don’t like it. Maybe it’s just tough to tell via text, but idk. That’s how I’ve felt on their responses lately. Like the “no team is gonna base their entire deadline approach on a mid June away series”. Just don’t answer it then. Or the “the royals haven’t ‘said’ Chapman is for trade”. I probably wouldn’t have noticed these today if I hadn’t been seeing it more and more
On comman he drops “mediocre teams have been making the playoffs for years”.
I don’t want to sit here and rip them either, but it’s been on my mind the past month or two of chats.
O’s – Sorry but I don’t see the attitude.
I’m not a suckup, as I’ve been known to occasionally critique some of the newbies’ articles, but I have no issues with the chats as long as they stay focused on baseball for 97% of the time.
Steve and Tim are the best BTW.
Thoughts and prayers to help get you through this dark situation.
Saying “thoughts and prayers” does nothing but tell the world “don’t forget about me!” Literally blowing hot air.
—Anthony Jeselnik
Jorge – Never heard of that guy, had to look him up. Shocker that an atheist would disparage the value of prayer.
You are more right than wrong. Luckily, I get a lot of enjoyment from my subscription extras
(not a commercial).
The chats all seem to be too similar after awhile
(and, yes, snark).
At least the trade Adell
questions have disappeared…..
Yeah, they have been a bit condescending lately. But I can’t even get a question answered so there’s that.
prov – Join the club. It does get irritating when some get 3-4 answered in the same chat while many of us never get even one.
I’ve stopped caring if my questions get answered. I know there’s very little chance they do.. and its usually a dumb question that gets answered when one is answered.
Mine got answered once. Ages ago. I just stopped submitting them.
Seriously, it’s dumb luck. Over the last two years I’ve asked 4 questions. 3 were answered.
That was the first thing I noticed, too. Sure, Seattle is only out of the wild card by 3 games right now, but if they did end up having a bad June, I can’t imagine they wouldn’t be sellers. The upper half of the wild card rankings is tough.
I haven’t read any attitude into their responses. If you don’t want them to answer the questions they do, what questions should they answer?
gbs – Looking at Steve’s responses in the above chat, I would have answered the questions the exact same way … and everyone says I’m super nice.
One thing I have to say about all the writers, they are extremely professional and polite. They even sometimes answer questions that are very critical and downright rude, I give them credit for doing so.
do you think they get tired of reading the same stupid questions over and over? “Can we get Ohtani for our 47 year old career minor leaguer who got called up and got 1 hit?” or, can our team A trade for team B’s legit MVP candidate with garbage because the team B is playing like garbage. some of you ask the dumbest crap. I get tired of reading it, I can’t imagine what it’s like sifting through it. Not saying it’s you in particular, but put yourself in their shoes.
