Would the Braves trade Marcell Ozuna? He has been doing pretty good this year.

Thats why they probably won’t trade him.

Can’t imagine anyone wanting him.

Os Mountcastle. Needs a change of scenery. IMO, deeper LF wall has been in his head since last year. Young, cheap, controllable. Could he be part of a late July trade package? Who plays first? Gunnar. He’s blocking Westburg or is it Ortiz or is it Mayo or eventually Holliday or ….
Samuel
Mountcastle is tied for the team lead in RBI’s.
Ryan O’Hearn is currently getting playing time at 1B against tough RH pitchers, and in the corner OF positions. He’s a superb 1B defender and better than average in the corners. He’s hitting .328.
Since the Orioles are only tied with the 2nd best winning percentage in MLB, it’s time for them to shake things up as the FO and manager obviously don’t know what they’re doing, and a bunch of minor leaguers need to come up and try to salvage the season.

Agree to disagree again Samuel. Move Mountcastle. Get Gunnar a 1st baseman mitt and leave him alone. Agree about the risk of moving prospects to league level. Elias has it covered with guys already on the roster. Urias, Mateo and Frazier come to mind. Cheers!

He hates that wall so much. I guarantee the first thing he says when he’s no longer an Oriole is how much that darn wall ruined him. I don’t get why they had to go so extreme with the movement. The team had homers that were only homers at camden yards, but now there are balls that are only NOT homers at camden yards.

Is it really a smart idea to trade or attempt to trade two of 5 of their starting rotation. If they’re out of contention I think it’s gotta be one or the other of Stroman or Smyly. It absolutely should NOT be both..trading 40% of their rotation is basically a fire sale. The nl central is still wide open a 3 team race. It would not be surprising if the Cubs turned it again and had a great month of June like they did for April.

“I think the return on Bieber’s going to be seen as a disappointment, though. He’s pitching like a fourth starter. ”

On Sunday Bieber pitched against the WC Astros…..
In 7 innings he gave up no runs, 3 hits, 1 walk, and K’ed 9.
Lots of #4 pitchers do that every day week.

Matt Boyd signed a $10M contract this past offseason. Matt Boyd at $10M. Shane Bieber still has strong value.

Steve made light of the Pirates going big, but Cherrington has the chops to do something special, I believe.

I don’t know why someone said the Cubs’ rotation is bad. They’re currently 6th in MLB in rotation ERA with Stroman, Smyly, and Steele all pitching very well, Hendricks and Taillon are also starting to come around a bit. The only inconsistency right now has been Wesneski.
