Maybe instead of trading Lorenzen, Detroit should try to extend him. He has been bouncing from bullpen to rotation, and city to city. He might be ameniable to staying in one place as a starter. He won’t cost a ton or require extreme length on a deal. That would be better than any lotto ticket the Tigers could get for a rental player. Maybe they could trade him for Candelario.
