In Seager/Hader We Trust > the 70 MM DH Ohtani
Paid to hate the Rangers no matter what
Sid Bream Speed Demon
So you think, just because he didn’t pick the Rangers to make the playoffs, that he is paid to hate them? My God, that is Mets-fan level insecurity.

It’s not just him. Everyone has been obsessively dismissing the Rangers. You don’t have to win your division to make the playoffs. Every writer on this site is doing this. Fans and fangraphs estimate Texas to be right there with LA and Seattle, and yet all the writers are acting like Cleveland/Minnesota/Baltimore are clearly better. One would expect maybe even 1 or 2 guys on here out of 10 or so to be bullish on Texas. It’s like 0-10 in here. The same goes for national guys. They act like an expected win loss last year of 77-85 will end up at 79-83 with full years of half the guys in the pen, a real left fielder, Jung all year, Seager off the shift, and better starters who will go more than 3 innings a start. After all, most guys expected the Angels to win the west in 2011 and 2012. Look how that turned out. I know writers don’t determine the season, but this constant negativity is irritating nonetheless.

Fangraphs, Zips, and the like are horribly wrong all the time, too, so it’s not like the opinion of the computers holds more weight than that of Random Joe Baseball Fan.

For what it’s worth, the Rangers have a great manager. I’ve shaken hands with the guy, before Zaidi ran him outta town over here

Rangers fans are getting to be the most annoying on here.
