Did that guy just get banned? I saw the comment before, and it’s gone now.
The question from a user asking if Eppler should be fired never should have been answered, because it contained faulty logic. Eppler wasn’t the Mets GM when Steve Cohen purchased the team. He wasn’t even the first GM that was hired. It wasn’t Eppler that passed on Springer. The Blue Jays outbid the Mets, and the Mets front office was helmed by Sandy Alderson and Jared Porter. Same thing with JT Realmuto. Eppler wasn’t employed by the Mets until the following year.
Yeah, Eppler was like the 15th GM the Mets had by that time (i exaggerate greatly here) and can’t be blamed for any of the decisions made by the Mets prior to November of ’21. That said, Eppler may not be to blame for many of the Mets decisions now as i imagine Cohen is probably the one choosing the players that are being brought in
If you had said the 15th GM the Mets had interviewed, that would have been only a minor exaggeration.

hahaha I was wondering if anyone else was going to find this part as oddly amusing as I did. It’s almost as if Jordan started the sentence but fell asleep at the comma, and his more intelligent friend jumped in and finished the statement for him.

I have a difficult time remembering the full titles of any of the movies other than the original trilogy and the standalone movies. They aren’t worth taking up that space in my brain.
