Funny to me how some think the yankees can still win the division. Signing judge has killed any improvement for this team when ownership says were done spending. I like the rodon signing but where else are the improvements? Hicks and donaldson are blocking the youth.

It’s hard for me to wrap my head around how/why people think the Cubs will be better in 2024 than next year.
Call me crazy but I think it’s overly optimistic to think PCA, Alcantara or Davis and Mervis will all hit the ground running their rookie year while potentially needing to replace Gomes and Barnhart behind the dish. The rotation could easily lose Hendricks and Stroman as well.
IMO, if the Cubs land an Ace (Bauer) they could compete for the division this season. Key word is could if Suzuki and Swanson both play to their ability offensively, either Bellinger or Mancini bounce back a little, Happ doesn’t regress and Steele continues to impress. A lot of ifs sure but they are high floor ifs vs the 24 team that is going be very low floor ifs.
Typical cubs fan. The little cubbies will be buried by the Cards and Brewers. I would love to see them sign Bauer. Clueless cubs fans will lovingly take him to their hearts.
Bauer won’t even get a roster spot on a scrub Mexican League squad or in the Independent League. His ship has sailed. Bon voyage.
What if Bauer agrees to have sex the regular way… would people like him more?
No news on the deGrom injury? Montas looks like he will miss the year… I know it’s a Trade Rumors site, but dang, when was the last rumor you guys posted?
Right, if the Cubs signed Bauer they would have one of the top rotations in the league, one of the top defenses and an adequate offense.
