Adames had a few years of control, twice the amount of above average offensive seasons than Swanson (per OPS+) and Adames is coming off his best def season, where is was almost as valuable as Swanson. Unless you’re factoring in hair volume, Adames isn’t a downgrade. He’s undervalued and blossoming before a contract year, unlike DS.
Grissom could play 2B and Bryce Turang would play SS for the Brewers. However, it seems unless the Braves want to move one of their other team friendly contracts they probably don’t have enough to land Burns.
Adames could see his trade value spike after this year’s round of SS musical chairs ends if some team doesn’t land the player they were hoping for
