We will go ahead and keep Cartaya!

If haniger goes to FA, I see Cle as a good fit. + They need a power bat and Cle is always competing for the division
Samuel
Read up on Oscar Gonzalez.

Haniger is high risk/high reward. Would love to see Bloom sign him but feel like he may be more expensive than what Chaim will be looking for
Jean Matrac
I’m guessing a lot of teams will have some interest in Haniger. At one point, he was nicknamed “The Shed”, since supposedly he had all the tools.

How much will it cost to lock up trea turner?
AverageCommenter
8/250? 7/225?
Balk
So he’ll be 30 in June. But you think 30 mill a year? Not saying he isn’t worth it but damn.
LordD99
I’d be more concerned with a player with Turner’s skillset aging out quickly than someone like Judge. Both, however, will have contracts that will age badly. The Yankees and the Dodgers can handle the latter years and they’ll simply build it into their plans.
Jean Matrac
I see the percentages for Judge as 70% he re-signs with the Yanks, 25% Giants, and 5% elsewhere.
I don’t see the Dodgers signing him. With Freeman on the books, the need to re-sign/replace all of T. Turner, J. Turner, and Kershaw, with the option on Muncy, and a replacement in CF for Bellinger, I can’t see them making that commitment.
Judge doesn’t seem like a good replacement for Bellinger since he isn’t really a true CFer. I could be wrong since they could kick that can down the road and go with Judge in CF for the next couple of years, but would they out-bid those other teams do do that?
AverageCommenter
I think its expensive, but that’s what the bidding war will demand. I did think he was younger off the top of my head.
.
20 years, $2,300,000,000. Gonna blow this AAV crap out of the water!
.
On another note, he will stay a Dodger. 6 years 35 mil a year, with escalators and maybe even
options for a year or 2.
Balk
Was thinking about the Giants, a lot of money to blow this off-season. I expect them to pursue heavy on Judge, but if that falls through, I can see them targeting a shortstop, along with top of rotation and relief. But what the hell do I know? Ha

I had to take a step back when I saw your proposed Rangers-Marlins trade. A gold glove caliber outfielder, who has played lots of centerfield, with a gun for an arm who was a 25/25 guy with 100+ RBI’s under four more years of control for a 10-10 pitcher with a 3.75 ERA with two years of control AND the Rangers throw in some ancillary pieces? WOW! Either you didn’t really research the players you threw out there OR if trading for pitching is going to be that expensive this offseason, teams better be looking at the free agent market instead!
Rsox
A better possibility might swapping Garcia (who is a big part of the Rangers lineup) for Nick Solak, who literally has nowhere to play with the Rangers. Solak can play CF, he and whatever “ancillary pieces” could be enough to get Lopez or at least one of the other Marlins starters not named Sandy Alcantara
knolln
Solak doesn’t get you half of Lopezs left cleat. What are you on
knolln
Lopez starts with a duran or acuna or foscue if we’re lucky, a carter or Jung if we’re not
knolln
Ugh wins and rbis in one comment. The rangers could trade 4 Garcias for Lopez and I would be absolutely thrilled.
