RunDMC
Trevor Stephan is impressive, but most underrated RP right now is Andres Munoz in SEA.
JeffreyChungus
Munoz isn’t even the most underrated reliever on his own team
RunDMC
Humor me. They’re up later than my bedtime. Sewald/Swanson are impressive, but Munoz misses more bats. Festa also very impressive.
Rsox
Add John Schreiber to the list of underrated RP’s this year. Also i feel Scott Barlow is underrated playing in KC

Pirates could trade for Lopez and work out an extension. Or flip him in a year or so if they can’t come to terms.
Rsox
But why would they?
Deleted Userr
Because it usually doesn’t cost as much if you are the only team allowed to negotiate with the player.
Rsox
More to the point, the Pirates are probably not interested in trading assets to acquire a pitcher that they will ultimately end up flipping to replace the assets they traded in the first place.
Unless the Pirates do a straight up Reynolds for Lopez trade
Deleted Userr
Hey I’m just using the same logic others are using when they suggest the Padres flipping Juan Soto in 2023-24.
Rsox
Sort of not the same situation as the Padres have gone “all-in” on this season and really next season too. You only flip Soto after the ’23 season if they finish dead last or trade him in ’24 if they are not in the playoff hunt at the deadline. Neither the Marlins or the Pirates are in anywhere close to the same situation
Deleted Userr
They could still trade-and-extend Lopez. People seem to think Soto signing an extension is some kind of foregone conclusion Extending Lopez would be much easier.
Samuel
Lot’s of underrated RP’s.
The Orioles top 3: Félix Bautista, Dillon Tate, and Cionel Pérez all have better numbers than those 2. Pérez has a ridiculous ERA of 1.11 in 40 innings. A lot of it has to do with how the RP is used.
RunDMC
Bautista is definitely seen, now being the closer, so I wouldn’t considering him “underrated”. Perez is good, but WHIP and K/9 isn’t all that impressive. Munoz also has a high BABIP (.311) which could suggest that he’s been unlucky and his numbers could be even better.

White Sox are better than the Os? Nah. O’s are up in the series 3-1 and outscored them 17-7.
Jean Matrac
The O’s may be better, but that head-to-head is meaningless. You can’t tell anything from 4 games. By your logic, the A’s are better than the O’s. They’re 3-1 outscoring the O’s 20-13.
Are the Rockies better than the Cardinals, since they’re 2-1, outscoring the Cards 29 to 20? And the are Tigers better than the Padres? Tigers are 2-1 outscoring the Pads 20-13?
Which would also mean the Reds, and Tigers, are also better than the O’s, since they have winning records, and have outscored them 25-13 collectively.

Odds Juan Soto goes back to Washington after 2024?
Sky14
I like Miranda but no chance he’s ROY over Rodriguez.

Kikuchi and Barrios….ouch

Josh Bell is a 30 yr old 1b only player who’s going to be coming off ~2.5 fwar season and you want to give him 4/80 or 5/100? The team that does that is going to regret it, probably very early in the contract.
MediocreCardinals
Yeah I saw that comment. I don’t think he knows much about contracts. He also mentioned a $11-$14M contract for Mancini. Mancini is a 3 WAR player over the last 3 years combined.

It was announced today that Corbin Carroll is getting the call up before the end of the year. ROS fantasy value? Berti, Rojas or Carroll? Rank the 3
