just one comment for a chat posted 3 hours ago?
Surprising…..
Samuel
No.
He has an outlook on baseball that’s not very realistic for most fans, and definitely not one the overwhelming majority of FO’s adhere to. He gets the least comments of anyone running the chats.
I read his chat last week. First time in well over a year. No use arguing with him. Just came to check the comments. Seems about right.

not a question about the chat, but just a general Q about the new CBA that I’m not sure about, if someone knows what’s up:
Is service time manipulation still …. allowed, I guess is the word? Wasn’t that a major issue the players wanted to fix?? Did they give up on that point?? I know there are some minor incentives, right, like if a guy wins RoY then he gets a full year of service or something?? but other than that, … we could have more cases like Kris Bryant?
Thanks, I think I might have missed something in all of the new CBA discussions and all

@raltongo – The service time manipulation is still allowed. In fact, if a team feels that a guy might win ROY they might hold him back long enough that he can’t win the award thus keeping him for an extra year that way as well. It’s something that some owners I believe do not want to give up for anything – especially those that prefer tanking and profits over actually winning games and pleasing their fans.

What are you talking about? A player winning ROTY doesn’t effect the length of team control.

TMQ, it does (or can) based on the new CBA.
