Are you talking about the “really active in free agency” thing? In full context we don’t take that to mean top free agents.
But more than Kikuchi. The Cubs were hit hard by Covid because they recently poured millions into Wrigley. They cut salary and are now at a point where they can add and compete in the near term.
I laughed out loud at the plausible comment at the 2:13 mark. This whole exercise is about plausible!
