Can’t wait for a team to major over pay for Kevin Gausman and sign a total bust of a pitcher.
Giants74
If that is high on your priority list, maybe you need to get a life. Go outside. Breathe some air. Wishing for someone to fail means you need to seek some psychological help.
bravesiowafan
Lol your the one claiming I’m wishing anyone to fail. I’m hoping a team misses the writing on the wall. Grow up, ppl have distastes for certain players all the time doesn’t mean they need “psychological help”.

I am hung up on a players success, or failure. You are the one wishing for Gausman to fail. Why can’t he repeat his 2020 & 2021 seasons? Calling him a bust is really premature. You don’t know what he will be like in 2022.

I can understand the bitterness from Braves fans, but you can almost say that about every offseason’s free agent contracts. Even if he pitch in ATL like he did in SF, he’d be going to free agency because ATL is not SF and does not pay for long-term premium pitching. That said, a team could do a lot worse than Gausman. Good for him for reaching his potential, especially after so many years. Any pitcher surviving the O’s rotation needs an upgrade for life.

I have been following teams to long to be bothered by players having bad seasons. Owners, GMs, and Coaches, in that order, are the ones you should despise. They do more to screw up teams.

Will these “will Merrifield be traded” questions ever die!!??
angelsfan4life
That and, the Angels should trade Trout. Both are annoying
Jack Marshall
If JD opts out, he does the Sox a favor. Then they can sign Shwarber without a logjam. JD is declining—you can see it. He doesn’t hit the best pitchers now., and he had long unproductive periods.
Benjamin560
Schwarber will wind up in Seattle with Marcus Semien, so you shouldn’t have to worry about any blockage.
stymeedone
So what your saying is JD is slowly becoming Kyle Schwarber? Doesnt hit the best pitchers and has long unproductive periods. Dont expect Schwarber to keep up the hot streak he had at the end of the year. Look at his norms.

I really hope the cubs aren’t dumb enough to trade Contreras. That would be a huge mistake. They have no one ready in the minors. Amaya won’t be ready until Sept of next year maybe ’23. They went through 8 backups this years. That’s awful. They need to extend Contreras. Pitching is obviously a priority but extending Willson is a close 2nd.
stymeedone
The Cubs wont be winning anything in ’22. Now is the time to trade him and get something before he walks. Most veteran players want a chance to win, so he may not be interested in signing and extension. Cubs can fill the position with a journey man for the upcoming year.
Logjammer D"Baggagecling
He has said that he’s willing to gi though tbe rebuild. It’s smart to extend him. Elite catchers like him don’t grow on trees. Unless Amaya goes from Double A to making the opening Day Roster and becomes a superstar like Brennan Davis will likely be. It’s dumb to trade him.

Steve…Great answer to the clown tgat wants the Reds to deal Winker, Castillo and Gray. The mentality of base baseball economics and general knowledge of the game has definitely been depleted here in the Nati by Millinials living in their moms basement..
