Pirates had their minor leaguers called up in April.

I love this. I remember the daily roster round up by Jason Martinez from a few years back. Always gave good clarity a couple of days a week, especially on Sundays getting ready for the new week. I say bring that series back, was a great way to keep track of everything that happens during the course of the week in a quick read a few times a week…
birdsfan415
agreed, I always looked forward to daily roster roundup

I still regularly use Roster Resource. Jason Martinez knows his business.

I’m curious how you use it. Are there benefits to using it over baseball reference?

If one is willing to subscribe, Baseball HQ provides a daily roster call-up column.

This is a great list to peruse, it goes great with Sam Adams Oktoberfest!!!
Agree that in previous years the total number of call-ups was too many, but I feel 2 is not enough…..maybe 5…?
As a Phillies fan for decades, must admit it’s pretty sweet to see a Cam Bedrosian call-up…Very few people remember his pop won the Cy for the Phils in the late 80’s…

I remember! Not a Phillies fan per say, but a fan of all teams. I also agree that two is to little. 5 would be perfect.

Baragar was in the minors with those numbers?
So. Cal. Giants fan
I actually liked Baragar and thought he did a decent job before being sent down. I scratch my head with Brebbia and wondering if he’s just an extra arm until the starters get healthy. I thought it was odd to have Ruf as a lead off hitter in tonight’s game.
Ya'll a bunch of salty crybabies
Maybe it’s the 11 walks in 18 innings?
So. Cal. Giants fan
Gotcha, although at this point, Leone hasn’t been much better!

The smaller September rosters seems like it was done to manipulate service time.
Wouldn’t bigger rosters save bullpen arms from potential injuries?
Maybe I’m wrong.
I do know.
The Dodgers just passed the Giants for 1st place in baseball.
This has been a really exciting season so far.
Go Dodgers.

Mitch White (Dodgers) left out again. Hope he can land with a team who can find a spot for him soon.
Ryan McBroom (Royals) continues to burn his age 29 season away. In AAA… 403 PA. 25 HRs, .259 .330 .507 .837 …but can’t buy time with the Royals.
Kckidd96
Because hes (mcbroom) not very good. Granted he should be up with this bad Royals team and Carlos Santana should be shown the door. Mcbroom although hasnt shown much in his time at the big league level and k’s way too much.

Nice report. Taylor Walls, Ks almost 25%, called up to audition as trade bate? Or, is this the new normal? You 50 and under liberals can’t wait for us 51 and over to die so you can have fake grass, no stealing, universal DH, no hit-and=run, no cut off man, no baseball IQ, they earing-wearing greedy punks.
tstats
The DH is good for baseball and injuries, a lot of pitchers got hurt just this year running bases or HBP
rennick
I do not necessarily disagree with you, but a lot of pitchers get hurt covering first base as well. Heck, Soroka blew his achilles by fielding first, not as a batter. The point is, pitchers can get injured regardless of whether they are on the mound or the batters box.
Perksy
Now that the September rosters are 28 instead of 40 does this mean going forward the minor league season will go longer or end later every year? So they can continue playing. I know this year they started later, but next next year and thereafter.
