Curly Was The Smart Stooge
MLBTR, I was disappointed you didn’t respond to my question about injuries in baseball. I’m especially concerned how the young players get hurt over & over again. Are there any inquiries or investigations on why the injuries have risen to this level & repetition?
Nothing
Lol you do realize they got 1000’s of questions every chat right? They can’t get to em all.
Ully
Curly, I have been shutout from getting my question answered as well, it happens.
Curly Was The Smart Stooge
Thanks Madam Curie, glad to hear you have the answers to all baseball ills.
BovineCrab
Curly, MLBTR didn’t respond because they have been talking about it and predicting the injuries since before last season. It has to do with time off and workload. None of the players in the minors played at all last season. Even the MLB players saw a massive reduction in their playing time. Now their bodies are being asked to take a full 162 game workload even though they aren’t ready for it. They aren’t answering your question because they have already been answering it for years. If you followed the site closely you would know that. If you just want to randomly show up and demand answers for you specifically at any given time you choose like a buffoon, no one will pay attention to you. Professors who teach calculus don’t stop everything to make sure their weakest student knows what 1+1 equals. The “No Child Left Behind” concept was debunked years ago. Keep up or shut up.
GETBUCKETS
There’s tonssssss of questions in the chat.
It might be helpful to research that yourself. I’m sure there’s some good info in that. I know it seems the athletes are bigger and stronger now and throw harder as well. But, I have no specifics.
Curly Was The Smart Stooge
Yes, you have no specifics, Baseballs have changed, mounds have changed, distance the mounds have changed from home plate. I’ve researched it myself, I want a professional opinion, not yours. There’s kids getting TJS in high school to try to get into the MLB.. That’s wrong to me. Is there a professional out there to answer me?
IronBallsMcGinty
I doubt being a jerk off to others will be helpful in your quest for answers.
allweatherfan
These are baseball writers, not doctors. Find a sports medicine chat.
Curly Was The Smart Stooge
Dr. do nothing,@ wesstl, I can’t believe I ask an honest question, and so many losers can’t answer an honest question. You don’t know baseball.
bhambrave
Curly, you can’t answer the question either. Does that mean you don’t know baseball?
RobM
First off, why do you think Steve is a professional expert on the topic of injuries? Second, that’s more of a long research article, the type that you might find on FanGraphs. It’s not a chat question.

The reason for the increase in injuries can be summed up in one word – ‘$$$$$.’

I have to disagree with Steve about Seager being the better all-around player than Correa. Seager is a better hitter, but Correa is a far better defender. Correa is much better than Seager with the glove, than Seager is better than Correa with the bat.
Correa, career: 128 wRC+, 60 DRS, 27 OAA.
Seager, career: 130 wRC+, -7 DRS, -19 OAA
The knock on Correa has been his injuries, but, not counting their rookie years, since Correa was called up in June, and Seager not until September, Correa has averaged 103.3 games per season, to Seager’s 95.3.
Not sure how Steve can see Seager as the better all-around player.

Screw you Steve. You’re a black eye on this site and your chats are a self serving joke.
Choke on your fist you hack.

Something tells me CurlyWasTheSmartStooge is a legend in his own mind, surrounded by friends and well wishers, the life of every party and tops on every invite list. My only regret in life is that I am too socially downtrodden to ever hope to be in his circle of elite.
