Why doesn’t Mark answer my questions?
I know right
you don’t know wrong?
So ask your question in here(during the chat). So many dumb arm chair GMs in here I’m sure can pretend to answer it
As I understand it there’s usually hundreds of questions in queue so it’s not that you’re being ignored. I’ve had maybe four responses and have asked maybe 50-60.
He always gets lots of questions. I’ve asked a dozen and never had one answered..
Try to be quirky like I do.
For Pete’s sake (who’s Pete?) don’t ask a serious baseball ??? there are probably 200 similar??? already in line…..
We’ve been over this. They get 1,000 of questions. Try to be creative like: mac n cheese or hash browns with ketchup?
Bryant to the Phillies to play with his bud is a very strong possibility.
McCutchen coming off the books, others as well. Bryant can rotate between 3B and LF. That leaves one of Bohm or Hoskins to play 1B and the other as trade bait to bring in a quality pitcher or two (their defense limits the team). But Dombrowski is slick. It wouldn’t surprise me if he traded both. Maybe move Segura to 1B.
Great professional, measured moves by Dombrowski this year. But the NL East stinks and he knows it – winning the division means nothing. A WS is where he (and Girardi) want to be in the next few years. Think big.
can Bryant swing CF? I feel that’s honestly the best way he gets to Philly. team needs a CF.
He said on the purple carpet of the ASG he loves CF
hmmmm intriguing.
His numbers have him as a mediocre CF. Which is a huge upgrade for the Phils.
KB might like CF. He’s no centerfielder. Very awkward and lacks speed out there.
honestly, as long as he isnt making garbage plays out there like Odubel it’s a win.
Uh, how many overpaid hot dogs can the Domster afford?
Even the hotdogs are overpaid now? Once the beer hears about this they’ll go on strike.
With the DH an NL certainty for 2022, how about Hopkins as the DH snd Bohm at first with Maton at third and hopefully Stott at ss – never liked Seguras attitude, but man he is playing lights out…
Bohm is a much worse fielder than Hoskins, and that’s saying something. There’s also no guarantee of a DH.
Nice to see Sidd Finch getting a mention in the Live Chat
Sidd Finch lives!
i still dont see the supposed signs pointing towards the DH being a thing in 2022. why now do both sides strike a deal for it?
Both sides wanted it but ran out of time waiting for the other side to blink…..
that’s been the same for how many CBAs now?
Hi guys, I just wanted to get some thoughts on this: Which is more likely the Blue Jays or Reds making it to the playoffs?
I’ve been thinking Blue Jays but I’m willing to hear arguments for the Reds. Thanks!
I think the only way the Reds make the playoffs is if Tatis injury is very serious because it seems highly unlikely one of the Giants or Dodgers doesn’t get the top WC spot. To add insult to injury I also think they’re gonna end up with a better record than the winner of the NL East.
Even if the Tatis injury isn’t serious, I still think the Reds pass the Padres for the second wild card. The Reds remaining strength of schedule is very weak compared to the Padres and the Reds have done a better job of fixing their bullpen issues of late which was really their only huge flaw. As good as the Brewers have been I wouldn’t be shocked if the Reds catch them. Maybe I’m bias as a Reds fan but they’ve been playing great baseball and their schedule is only going to do them favors at this point.
Good points Joe!
Strength of schedule means something…..
I’d say the Reds have the better chance, since they need to catch only the team in front of them, the Padres, while the Jays have to pass the Yankees, and catch either the A’s or Red Sox.
The one advantage for the Jays is, if they can leapfrog the Yanks, they have two possibilities to catch, while the Giants or Dodgers have a much bigger lead and probably aren’t getting caught.
Oakland has the tougher schedule remaining but with their penchant for getting hot late summer I don’t see blue jays running them down. The Reds however have the NL west teams gonna beat each other up so I think they have the better shot, I don’t think either make it in but I’ve been wrong before.
Giants and Dodgers only have one series left. Padres have a bit more though
“Seems like Syndergaard would absolutely accept a QO, but at this point, I question whether the Mets would issue it”
Why not? They QO’d Stroman last offseason even though he didn’t pitch at all in 2020 and Thor is a franchise icon whereas Stroman had just alienated the entire Mets fanbase.
Thor would be a good idea as a QO…..
Why not? Perhaps money. Return of Robinson Cano on top of Lindor contract makes for a different financial situation than the one in which Stroman got a QO (which was an odd decision, anyway–good for them that it worked out, for the most part).
@Horace Fury Steve Cohen has more money than God. He can certainly afford to QO Thor. And Thor is just as good a QO candidate as Stroman was.
renado isn’t convincing story to move to st louis. nolan will probably leave
Enough of myself wisdom.
On to the chat…..
I’m glad that Mark answered the pillow contract question! Sometimes readers are new to the game…..
3 minutes short of a 2 hour chat Mark!!!!! Wonder if that’s a record…..
Did he really say his favorite baseball movie is A League Of Their Own? I will assume his wife or girlfriend was looking over his shoulder when he answered that.
jerk much?
