Kyle Hendricks has a lifetime ERA-3.18 WHIP-1.12 over 1146-IP. He is also signed for 3 years beyond this year for $14, $14 & $16 million. He is extremely valuable and would cost a whole lot more than that offer.
He’s on the wrong side of 30. He’ll be 32 next season, so those are expensive years for age 32, 33, and 34. Not to mention, control guys with not so great stuff tend to fall completely apart at that age. See Jose Quintana.
If I were the Cubs, I’d just be happy someone will take the contract of the books. But I doubt someone would.
I hope the Tigers don’t deal Jose Cisneros. He’s got one year of arbitration left. Seems like he can be retained for a reasonable price for another year. He’s been pretty solid.
I know. But, it is becoming obvious that the Tigers could realistically contend for a playoff spot next year. If AL Avila believes this, he’s going to kick himself for dealing away a reliable, late inning reliever for a lottery ticket when he could have kept him for another year for probably $1-$2 million. Plus, I’m sure if they keep him, they will be the most likely to sign him when he hits free agency.
You aren’t a true Mets fan if you are that willing to trade your top prospect for a glimmer of hope this year. Mets trading prospects of Mauricios caliber would need controllable and good-great caliber. Like Manoah type.
Phillies would be wiser to add a SP over a bullpen arm with the limited funds they have under the luxury tax.
Adell and a couple top 30 guys for Marquez?
Who do the angels have to go to the cubs? Assuming you’re talking about Brailyn Marquez.
I’m pretty sure it’s German Marquez.
Who says no… MidTier prospect and Edwin Uceta or Mitch White for Kyle Hendricks?
Are those two guys any good?
Top pitching *prospects* that need a bit of AAA time
Decent pitchers with a mid to high ceiling. Not like Mckenzie Gore or anything like that but decent?
Cubs can probably get a better deal than that.
White is garbage
Cubs say No, and fast
Why would the Cubs do that?
They gave KH signed to an affordable K for the next 3 years. Best case scenario under your trade is that they replace KH.

Or get better…See Mad Max ….either/or

that makes him a better trade piece

But, if the deal is right, I’d support a trade.
Mauricio + Ginn + Peterson + throw in
Berrios
Donaldson
Twins fan? Would this work? We would also be taking most of Donaldson contract

I wouldn’t trade Mauricio for Donaldson. The main piece is berrios.
What would it cost the White Sox to make a deal with the Pirates
For Rodriguez.?
