Mets on pace to win 90 games and have thier AAA roster…. and people told me I was delusional for having them win 95 to 103 games.
A lot of baseball to go yet. Let’s wait and see before we (and by we I mean you) crown them WS champs.
In a AAA division. Nothing to brag about.
Cant spell Metsfan22 without starting out with ME
Seems your the only one on the fence about your {possible} delusions
I couldn’t disagree more about managers not having a role in their team’s fortunes. Boone may have had a good quote about savages but he’s not a good manager. The team isn’t just having injury problems. Under him Sanchez has regressed, overall team defense has gotten worse and the baserunning is worse than little league. In short, fundamentals have gone to heck and that rests solely on the manager.
Fundamentals have gone across baseball. Hustling is apparently passé. I don’t think there’s much any modern manager can do about that.
Cosmo NAILED it.
100 percent.
Teaching “fundamentals” to a bunch of skull deads? Is like trying to Raise The Titanic.
Ain’t ever gonna happen.
Not until (that is) one team grows a set and RELEASES this clinking clanking collection of calliginous junk.
Then? They have a starting point.
Til then? All crap. Across the board.
Are you writing poetry? You don’t have to hit enter after every sentence.
These days in baseball it seems the young players want all the dramatic bat flips and such but cannot even lay a bunt down if asked too. Home runs first everything else last. I miss the stolen base guys myself. When it comes to pitching give me a guy who can top out at 92mph and paint the corners rather than max effort pitch every time.
I miss the on base guys… that .350 average with .400 obp. 50 steals… those were the days.
Rod Carew
I have to opine here about defense.
1st base defense has been as good as I’ve seen.
Lots of deeply understood fundamentals, mechanics and timing from most everyone.
I’ve been highly impressed.
Lmfao. Ok. This is like trying to ask Biden a question. W the moderators?
Forget it.
Lightweight.
Thousands of us are asking questions. What makes you think he should answer you over us BaldPhoenix?
Because MINE press these amateurish “writers” (err…”live feeders”) to answer a baseball related question.
They don’t.
That’s why they are amateurs.
Nexxt?
Phoenix may be challenged when it comes to making an analogy.
Maybe he is PattyO.
Then again…maybe he is ALSO one you may wish to cool your jets and read up on what he poats?
Words won’t hurt ya. Now will they?
Course…YOU gotta be capable of asking and accepting REAL ones.
Nexxxxxxt.
Maybe your bitter, self-aggrandizing demeanor translates into your questions in the chat as well. Unless a moderator wants to take the time to help/correct you, many other more worthy queries to answer.
And actually? About 64 are “asking questions”.
They cherry pick.
Please tell me you know that they all do that?
Please
yeah, saying something political will totally get your questions answered…
Heh, I don’t really understand any of this conversation and I think for once my naïveté is an asset. (Plus I’ve thus far already worked in no less than two French words on this page, so it must be a special day).
Would Heany, Bundy, or Iglesias bring back a notable prospect at the deadline?
Heaney and Bundy are pitching terribly. Iglesias is okay. None will get a notable prospect right now.
All three are free agents at years end so they won’t bring back much as short term rentals given their level of performance.
i dont see the point in complaining over Arenado given what Semian’s some so far. the Jays were never going to get both.
Getting a top prospect or two from the back third of a team’s top 30 for Tyler Anderson would be outstanding, imo. Just wonder who it’ll be from. Lowkey, could see the Marlins being a potnetial caller. They’re not very far out of a playoff spot, and by the current NL East standings, things could change very quickly in a week or two. Mets falling into a cold streak for as little as a week and the Marlins heat up at the same time can make the division real close. They have a strong starting 4 and since it doesn’t look like Sixto will be back anytime soon, getting a solid back of the rotation arm like Anderson would make sense.
Those “Dead Last teams” are generally the first sellers. Sellers seem to stoke the “Trade Rumors” of the League. Here to read, ponder and discuss Trade Rumors about the sport we love. Enjoy hearing about the sellers. Rinse, repeat.
Love the final question, Chris. The ol’ 4 TB query. I also take Player A. Odds say he scored if he was 4 for 4 and the opportunities for RBI can reasonably be assumed, as well.
Option d should be 0 for 4 but his spinny rate was really high.
He would have chosen d.
Kris Bryant – The last of the .400 hitters….during a contract year…
How about… the Braves void the Ozuna contract but they have to pay that money to Ronald Acuña and Ozzie Albies instead. Who (besides Ozuna) says no?
The players union comes to mind.
Who are the PTBNL in the benintendi deal? Dont ask anyone at mlbtr. You need to ask someone at a baseball trade rumor site.
Steve Adams is losing it. He didn’t have much to lose in the first place, but his chats are becoming more long winded garbage, less factual, more personal, and he’s been incredibly rude and unprofessional. Looking forward to him being fired and never working in baseball again, because no one would be stupid enough to pay him to continue to be such an unprofessional hack after losing a pitiful job like the ones they give here at MLBTR.com.
Bye Steve!
