The latest minor moves from around baseball…
- The Pirates outrighted Troy Stokes Jr. to Triple-A Indianapolis after the outfielder cleared waivers. Stokes was designated for assignment earlier this week, and this is the second time Stokes has been DFA’ed/outrighted since first joining the Bucs on a waiver claim back in January. Stokes made his MLB debut this season, appearing in eight games with Pittsburgh and posting a .367 OPS in his first 20 plate appearances in the Show.

The all-DFA outfield in AAA Indianapolis: Stokes, Anthony Alford, Dustin Fowler,
Hunter Owen.

Didn’t know Fowler was still with the organization, if you actually want to call it that.

Looks like all 4 of them were on Indy’s roster as of last night. Fowler’s hitting very well in AAA, the others not so much.

Bucs need power from somewhere! Last three games against the Braves totally embarrassing!

How come everyone they claim nobody else wants?
Why do we even claim them when everyone else knows they are not major league material?
It is scary to think that someone in the organization thinks these guys have talent and the rest of world knows otherwise.
There is a reason why these guys failed previously and they don’t apparently see it.

Like the Pirates are worried about somebody claiming these guys when they send them down who are being replaced with other MLB cast offs. Keep throwing mud at the wall to see who can hit above 215.

Goes to Atlanta, becomes the best 4th outfielder in the game. Then, signs Major league deal with Seattle as a backup to Kelenic Lewis and Julio Rodriguez. Gets a starting job in Texas and somehow wins a silver slugger in center. Signs 5 year extension but it turns out to be crap. Then, he signs a minor league deal with the Marlins but performs very well. Wins batting title and Gold Glove. Retires and is currently a softball pitcher in the senior league

40-men guys are prohibited, right?
Peart of the game
Looks like the Pirates attempts to throw fringey outfielders at the wall ala Farhan Zaldi of the Giants aren’t working so well.

Not sure how the Mets can let anyone pass through without claiming them that plays the outfield at the moment

Why is Alderson sitting on his hands when the Mets CLEARLY need help?
He has the money backing.
