Bring back the downvote option and quit closing comments and I’ll think about it.

If you’re focused on the comments, then you’re missing what’s best about this site- Timely info about the entire league and well thought out, well written content.. No other site comes close. I can’t believe they don’t charge everyone just for access.

For the member only online chats, I assume the notice will come via email? Enjoyed reading the one from last week, although since I have a job I read most of the chats after they have already happened.
Thanks!
Tim Dierkes
That’s correct, the notice will come via email. One option I recommend is to submit your question in advance, and there’s a good chance it will be answered.

I really appreciate the information, and insight, you guys provide so I sincerely hope you take this with the humor intended: Does this ad go away with a subscription purchase?

ROFL! I guess you relented from capitalizing THIS in your second to last line. That was pretty funny, especially because you have a good attitude about it. =D.

Love the Ad free experience so far. Thanks!

I like that this option now exists and that so many of your readers are deciding to take you up on it but I don’t feel comfortable supporting MLBTR as long as your comment sections continue to be YouTube level political cesspools. When you give your readers an environment where they can talk about baseball without being insulted by insensitive people who have no outlet for their weird political opinions then maybe I will think about it.

They’re trying, man. It’s a tough climate for moderators of comment sections right now. This issue is far from unique to mlbtr. Try to ignore it and only engage those who actually want to talk baseball; there are a lot of us! I know it can get frustrating, though, so I completely understand your sentiment.
Here’s to some engaging baseball conversation as we navigate the strange waters of this bizarre 2020 season.
Cheers!

They are trying but there was also a recent break out. It could be that bluejay got to see the first and second and just got a bad representation of this group. Really it comes down to us posters as well, and I confess, I got drawn into it and I shouldn’t have.

Just as a point of reference, Yahoo has completely closed off comments for now. You can take a survey as o how they can improve the experience…
THOSE comments can make this place look like the most intelligent, politest site in the universe.
