Here is the list of every National League team’s picks over the five rounds (plus the free agent compensation sandwich picks and the two Competitive Balance Rounds) of the 2020 draft. Slot price information and — if available — the amount of the player’s bonus are listed, as well as each club’s total draft bonus spending pool. If a player doesn’t sign with the team, the slot price attached to the player’s draft spot is removed from the team’s pool.
Teams are allowed to spend beyond their draft pool limit, though at an increasingly steep penalty. Exceeding the limit by 10 percent or less of the pool value will cost a team a 75 percent tax on the overage, as well as the forfeiture of a future first-round pick if they exceed the pool by between 5-10 percent. A 100 percent tax on the overage is levied if a team exceeds its pool by more than 10 percent of the total pool value, with heavier pick penalties — a future first- and second-round pick if a team’s extra spending falls between 10-15 percent of the pool limit, and two future first-round picks if the pool is exceeded by more than 15 percent. Needless to say, it would be shocking if any team topped the five percent threshold, though going over the pool limit by 0-5 percent isn’t uncommon.
For further reference, here is the rundown of draft signings for American League teams. These lists will be frequently updated as more players sign over the coming weeks, so keep the posts bookmarked for future updates!

Lol! Nice quote!
Questionable_Source
What’s wrong with the braves draft? They’re picking 25th and don’t have a 2nd round pick. They drafted high k-rate pitchers, who also performed better in wood bat leagues, and a power hitting outfielder. Oddly, the over slot guy looks like the lowest ceiling of the bunch.
WarkMohlers
That’s what I’m saying. The overslot is unimpressive at more than double the slot. The collective isn’t impressive and Shuster is a stretch, it’s assuming the short sample size is what’s real.
Why play it cautious early if your “splurging” at the end for elder? Just questionable. If everything falls right then I’ll eat crow. But I can’t see that right now.
braveshomer
it’s a weird draft all around, a lot of questionable picks and stretches I would have to imagine but I’m not draft expert….We’re going to see what AA is really about now that he can’t prosper off the fruits of Coppys labor

The guys on MLB network made a great argument how it’s pretty bush league that teams are signing their draft picks for the 20k minimum. Hard to argue with it. They really did kind of screw those players out of a potential better opportunity in other organizations.
WarkMohlers
Undrafted FA are capped at 20k not a minimum. Or am I misunderstanding your post?
RunDMC
Some draft picks are signing for 20k.
WarkMohlers
Thanks for pointing that out. Then I agree wholeheartedly. Why even sign? If you’re drafted this year you could assume any team would be willing to sign you for that much. Makes it seem pretty shady as to why they would even do that, unless some other incentives were discussed.
DarkSide830
not really. a lot of these guys were huge reaches that were selected simply to get extra slot money. im sure most of those guys were talked to about signing before they were even drafted. it was either that or take 20K or nothing at all as a free agent.
whuron
Nats have signed Powell. $ not reported but signing has been reported.

Abel from phillies(1st rd pick) is about to get paid above slot. Phillies signed a couple of guys underslot. I doubt Martin got above slot.
PiratesFan1981
Check that out, Pirates just has 1 draftee signed! I am so proud of my Buccos!

It’s going to take Nutting a little bit of time to find all of the coffee cans in the backyard and dig each of them up.

Brewers have signed Zavier Warren already on 15th.
