Curious to see if any relievers can rattle off a 25 IP or so scoreless streak that lasts the entire season.

Hitting .400 in a shortened season is possible
WarkMohlers
That’s definitely true. If a full season requires 500 PA to qualify for record books, then a 60 game season would only require 186 PA. Which is definitely possible, I wonder who might have the best shot?

Jerry 3:28. Does the mookie Betts look better NOW?
What Steve Adams meant to say if he could reread the question: yes it does.

Id like to see more explanation on service time and how it affects roster size etc please
MLB-what-ifs
Completely disagree with Steve’s assessment of the Betts trade. RS were never going to resign Betts, and it was better to get good prospects than loose him for a fourth round pick. Look at Soxprospect.com for 37 years of draft history for perspective. RS knew Sale was hurt and they did not have the pitching to go all the way in 2020.
WS win 2004 (let Go of Pedro, Lowe, Damon 2005, etc), turn the roster and win in 2007.
The only regulars to carry over were Varitek, Ortiz, and Manny Ramirez. The only pitchers were Schilling, Wakefield, and Tomlinson.
RS win WS 2007 turn roster, only remaining for 2013 Pedroia and Ortiz.
No one off the 2013 roster with over 150 AB remained in 2018. The point is the roster turns. If you read Betts’ comments over the previous 6 years there is nothing to give indication he wanted to stay in Boston including reject 10 yr $300 million dollars.
MLB-what-ifs
Verdugo, Wong, and Downs (17 years of team control between them) and $16 million salary relief of David Price for 60 games of Betts and David Price Is a good deal, and if Boston has the money or wants to resign Betts they still can.
