simmons will and shall be extended by the angels!
Powerball numbers please
that’s my line.
I really doubt it.
I thought Lindor was for a second. Did Baez extend?
Baez in 21-22 off-season.
Loaded shortstop classes for the next couple years probably played into Nick Ahmed’s decision to sign extension with Arizona.
Great sign by the way..
Simmons is an angel. and will continue to be a halo yo
I hope everyone is right about Simmons remaining an Angel. He is as good as advertised defensively. He makes the Angels pitchers better with his glove… as do Rendon and Fletcher. Something the Angels desperately need right now.
Rengifo is your future at SS
Angels struggle you could see Eppler try to move Simmons to the Yankees.
Yankees need a real SS.
I don’t think they will win with major defensive holes at C and SS
Off topic but Rosario will break out next year.
As in 2020 or 2021?
i take it he means when next baseball is played, which is 2020
*Looks at Blue Jays depth chart*
1. Bo Bichette
Hmm… no.
should’ve kept Urena
No, they should have persuaded Tulo out of retirement.
2017 – .949 in Lansing, .937 in Dunedin
2018 – .949 in New Hampshire
2019 – .951 in Buffalo, .959 in Toronto
Career fielding percentage in the minors: .948
It’s quite possible the Blue Jays will be looking for a shortstop for 2021 if they decide to move Biggio to CF and Bo to 2B. A .972 fielding percentage at 2B for Bo in the minors. I believe in Bo and I think he will be better than ever at short. But he needs to really improve to stay there for years to come.
I think the Jays are a dark horse candidate for a big time SS who can really defend.
Bichette and Vlad are both questionable long term at their current spots. Bichette at 3B with Vlad at 1B probably makes them both plus defenders.
Lindor would be a great pickup for them… but they likely would spend their cash on other more immediate needs.
