There was never going to be an article for this stuff. So it’s not taking away articles that would have otherwise been written. It’s just adding a video that wasn’t there before. Of course it’s OK to not be interested in the videos, but we are going to continue making them and there’s not an either/or situation.
Then make an article. Would be cool to read this. No one watches videos.
Obviously I respect you guys having the right to decide content. I, myself, am also one who has not and will not watch the video stuff. Just not my preference. I don’t watch video on any sight I read. That’s a choice. But don’t let anyone one tell you to stop doing if that’s you guys decision.
As far as my opinion on adding an article… it’s not like there is much other content going on right now that you have to write about. Makes sense for you to add that content since it’s apparently being asked for. If other breaking news popped up, so be it. Until then … why not!
I would like to see a video or two with Jeff and another one of the writers arguing some point on which they disagree. Maybe Jeff is a huge DH-in-the-NL fan, and Connor is the opposite? Maybe Tim has a wildly different view of Nick Gonzales in the upcoming draft? Something where both can present compelling arguments.
What happens with this year’s Free Agent Contest if there is no season? Everyone is waiting on Yasiel Puig, but that may never happen – season or not.
Let me rephrase: I won’t watch videos if they are posted. I’d love an article so I don’t miss the content but that’s obviously my problem.

I work along side many Hispanic people everyday and they constantly get my name wrong, I’m not offended at all….Oddly enough they all accidentally pronounce it ‘pinche puta’ which is a strange coincidence?…oh well

your skill set has never equaled the value of your contract. Its about hitting the market at the right place, right time.
Judging by the consistent egregious disasters that most big contracts become,, we can certainly assume that the GMs/owners are the dumbest guys in the room (if not the poorest).
Don’t all the major signings have to get owner approval? A lot of times the owner has been the dumbest (certainly not the poorest) in the room. Most of the albatross contracts become a sunk cost about halfway in. Some players value the security as much as the coins. Wonder if more players and front office regimes will trend toward increased AAV.
Huge contrast are about getting 3,4,5 great years out of a guy and spreading that money over 8 or 10. The only way to stop it is to have the owners band together and refuse to offer anything over 2 years or whatever.

Gotta admit, like many others resisted clicking the video link as also find the videos distracting. But glad I did: interesting insight and laid back presentation style. Some topics lend themselves much easier to a podcast type discussion than pages and pages of prose. Much easier to overlook the frequent typos and occasional Latino-player misidentifications now that one can relate to the writers. Look forward to more of these pieces!
I signed up and have watched two videos, that is a personal choice because most of the time they just do not interest me, and my system is quite slow so the video is generally of poor quality. Plus i am an avid reader and do prefer the written word! JMHO
I don’t miss anything! Although genetically born a baseball fan, now is a great time to reflect inward and appreciative what is REALLY important in life. Things like family, nature, your pets, God, helping others, love, joy, peace, health, reading, learning about what is actually going on behind the scenes in our world.

I like the videos. I think it’s a cool alternative to articles once and a while.
