MLB Trade Rumors is now on YouTube! Our new MLB Trade Rumors channel currently features six videos from MLBTR’s Jeff Todd, and you can expect around 3-5 per week in the near future. The channel will feature the quality hot stove news and rumors we’ve delivered over the last 14 years, and we plan to get creative from time to time. The website itself will remain the same, as we’re creating videos as a complementary piece for those who may be interested. We’d love your feedback on these early videos.
Please check out MLB Trade Rumors on YouTube and consider subscribing!

Sweet late 80’s White Sox hat.

Cool I’ll check it out. Meanwhile I haven’t even reached double digits after 6 months…
SalaryCapMyth
YES! I have wanted to see MLBTR spread to YouTube.
padreforlife
Why?
Tim Dierkes
Why not? I think it’s a medium that some of our readers would like to see us participating in, and using video may allow for communication of info or ideas in ways that the written word cannot.
Arclight44
hey, Tim if MLB Trade Rumors youtube channel reach 100k subscribers? would you give baseball giveaway like MLB teams uniforms?
mistry gm
Are you doing away with this site in favor of the silicon vally ( we edit everything) elitists?
The Human Toilet
Why does this bother you?
The Human Toilet
Awesome!!!
Kayrall
Will this channel cover ALL Trade Rumors avenues or just baseball? I would be interested in subscribing for just baseball.
Tim Dierkes
I’ve re-thought this a bit, and this channel will just be MLBTR. I’ll create separate channels for the other sites if we get there.
Rangers29
MLBTR needs to collab with MLB Youtubers like Giraffeneckmarc to help grow the platform, y’all should reach out to him on Twitter.
Tim Dierkes
We’ll check him out!

How about a podcast?
charles stevens
This. I spend hours driving everyday. A podcast would be great.
Tim Dierkes
We did try it, and I loved what we were putting out there, but I didn’t see an easy path to break even financially. With video that seems more plausible.
turner9
Video podcasts on YouTube with audio available on stitcher or other audio platforms is the way most content creators approach this

Poor baby…….him’s diswespected!
jkoch717
14 years? Thanks for making me feel old Tim. I forgot I started reading this site in high school…
realgone2
Think you feel old? I was 26 when it came out.
DockEllisDee
realgone2 – wow, we’re the same age.. 26 seems like two years ago, maybe five? A sobering thought for sure :/
SalaryCapMyth
I’m all for this! I watch YouTube a lot even though I have netflix and amazon prime available.
Also, maybe the MLBTR team can take their passion for baseball and turn it into am income for yourselves better than you can hear..if the YouTube experiement works out.
I know you guys tinkered with the idea of creating another layer to the community a while ago by adding a paid feature. You guys put a lot of content out so I’m hoping for the MLBTR staff.
DarkSide830
the 2010s were the decade of pewdiepie. the 2020s will be the decade of…mlb trade rumors.
Misfit0620
Just subscribed and wishing you all the best! I visit this website everyday multiple times a day. And I know the channel will be a homerun!
Rangers29
To whoever the dbacks fan is that keeps posting links, MLBTR doesn’t allow you to do that, that’s why your comment is being taken down.
Dbacks44
I deleted the link. Thanks though!
Dbacks44
So what should I do? Just say it instead of posting it?
Tim Dierkes
Given the similarities in names, I have to ask that you not promote your channel here.
Rangers29
Hey, why can’t I reply to my own comments anymore, or reply to somebody who replied to my comment?
turner9
Having the same problem all day in various articles. Been posted a few times. Maybe they will see one of our “complaints”
citizen
My questions don’t get answered or acknoleged in chat so why bother.
Rangers29
Hello darkness my old friend….
turner9
I’ve probably asked at least 100 questions in various chats and only had 1 answered. Its typically about my hometown team Toronto. Who aren’t a hot button topic.
But it is what it is, they tell us almost every chat they get hundreds and hundreds of questions. There is only time to answer so many
Keep trying, or dont. But understand it for what it is
A free site that allows you to interact with smart baseball minds.
Maybe they will add a feature where you can pay 5$ in the chat to automatically get an answer to your question…would you pay?? Probably not right?
So just keep going to the chat, enjoying it for what it is, and keep trying to interact with the writers
Plus, there are many knowledgeable people here in the comments (no not me) that will answer questions you have if you word it respectfully and post on topic to the article. Or at least if you’re going to deviate from the article, make sure it’s the correct teams article
For example an article on Betts but you have a question about a red Sox 1st base prospect
Hope that helps!

Cool idea, subscribed!

I think Instagram is the next medium to use. Quick, solid videos etc.

no thank you.
Cincyfan85
This great. Thanks guys! I look forward to watching all the videos. I prefer video to written content, but I still read almost every article daily.
Rob Mason
Longtime reader of MLBTR (over a decade!) and even started my own sports website (prosportsoutlook.com) in part due to my great experience consuming MLBTR. Really love the idea of making video content. A daily recap is a good idea, but what separates MLBTR, in my opinion, is they’re on top of everything. If it’s whispered, they hear it. Discussing more rumors and inside information would be awesome to watch. Keep up the innovativeness, and I’ll continue to share MLBTR with all my sports friends (and provide many back-links on PSO!).

There is some embedded spam on this post re-directing me to google accounts sign-in, presumably in concert with signing in to YouTube in conjunction with this topic. Happened ten times by time I finished reading the comments. Please, don’t.
Tim Dierkes
Can you drop me a line through our contact form so we can look into it?

I sent a message earlier today. Been giving me problems, too, on my iPad.

I think it’s an awesome idea. You never know when it can blow up. Perhaps it’s a place for more of you guys’ personal inputs and opinions? Either way, I’ve read this site daily for the past 10 years. I sincerely want to see you guys do well, stay healthy, and (hopefully) remain independent.
IronBallsMcGinty
Yeah, I was wondering if the entire mlbtr staff would be making videos or just Jeff.
TimM
Ethically speaking shouldn’t you cite sources in the video like you do in the “print” edition.
kaido24
If you don’t wanna read them, post them in the description.
kaido24
I’m all for you all exploring more mediums. If it’s just a rehash of what i’ve already read on here, I don’t really see the benefit? By the time you guys create the video, edit it and upload it, I’ve already heard about it from here or the MLB At Bat app.
Good luck to you guys, I’ll stick to the articles.
I actually liked the Facebook pages you guys had run by fans a while back.

Jeff is good in front of a camera. Channel looks good so far!

Now you can hire Urinating Tree.
