Anybody have a take on what Logan Morrison wrote ?
Morrison took to Instagram and claimed that each major-league team is doing some kind of sign-stealing and that the Astros started their scheme before Alex Cora – who was implicated in the ruling – became the team’s bench coach.
He also said he knows that the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers and the Boston Red Sox have also used film to “pick signs.”

LoMo also ranted about being in AAA last year after the terrible 2018 he had. right or wrong as he may be, i wouldnt use him as a news source.
GaryWarriorsRedSoxx
Makes sense, ok.

Still, what is the point of defending it like that? Its missing the point: MLB is trying to end this, and make a show to all the teams what will happen if they keep doing it in the future.
Baseball players aren’t known for being rocket scientists – they’re just paid way more than them lol

Sounds like a narc. He should be beaten w a wet noodle

I believe a LOT of teams use/used technology for sign stealing. I just think, in the Astros case, this is the first time a player has been willing to out his team in the way Mike Fiers did.

I didnt read the LoMo post, but I would venture that most teams use some form of video to “pick signs”. If a guy is on second base, sees the sign that was picked from video, then taps his hat or some other form of communication, the hitter benefits. Technically this is against the rules because technology was used to pick the sign. HOWEVER, literally having a dude staring at a laptop real time and banging on a trash can for EVERY PITCH OF EVERY AT BAT is a whole scenario entirely. Not even close.

Here’s a tidbit that HARDLY ANYONE is bringing attention to re the 2017 Astros. Despite their transgressions at home, they were tied for 1st in the majors with a 53-28 ROAD record. They didn’t have a traveling surveillance system with them.
Strike Four
Sounds exactly the same as why everyone hates Barry Bonds for taking PED’s after already being a 3 time MVP.
Here’s an idea: stop defending the trashtros. They are trash and deserved worse.
Prospectnvstr
I’m definitely NOT defending the Astros. However, it’s people (like you) who scream from the rooftops hang’em,lifetime ban, strip them, etc that drive me crazy. They did cheat. They got caught. 2 men lost their jobs, most likely a 3rd will shortly. However, my comment is MOSTLY for the purpose of showing that they WERE among the best teams OVERALL and tied as the BEST team on the ROAD in 2017. Fyi,I’m not an Astros fan. I’m a baseball fan and my favorite team is the Braves.
nasrd
Your comment is quite ridiculous.
mistry gm
No, they had film from home games with the hosting teams.
DarkSide830
alright Steve that announcement was clickbait of the highest order
DarkSide830
why is the emperor so concerned about Brock Holt? oh wait, that’s just Alex Cora!

Odds Buck Showalter is managing a team by spring training? Which team…Red Sox or Asterisks?

The Red Sox will soon have an asterisk of their own as well as many other teams after more revelations from
deep throat. Is it an asterisk if most teams are doing it?

The thing is, all teams employ crazy ever changing signs because they know all the other teams are trying to steal them, just as they are. The Astros got caught and are being made an example of because of how rampant it is. I’m not saying all teams have the same system or level of technology involved, but it is still happening. You are talking about one of the most competitive and lucrative sport leagues on the planet. It’s unamerican not to do everything you can to maximize your chance for success. I’m not condoning the behavior, but let’s stop pretending the Astros some how sacrificed the integrity of the game. I mean, you’re talking about a team in a league with a DH. It’s not exactly pure…
