My guess is he has already figured out that Price is healthy and highly likely to look good in spring training. It’s a risk but if he does look good in Spring training then teams will line up to trade for him and if all that teams are offering is to pay half his contract with nothing but a lottery ticket then Bloom is probably going to wait it out. That’s my guess we will see what happens. There is no way Bloom moves Price for 3/48 without significant compensation unless he knows Price is damaged goods for sure.
