Just what I expected. If I had to bet on it, he doesn’t get traded.
$ for WAR isn’t 8 million. The Athletic did an article on it and showed from Fangraphs (I think) that relief pitchers skewed the dollar amount. The amount varied from about 4.5 million for lower WAR players and a bit more than 5 million for higher WAR players.

How could you possibly be “shocked” if Cora loses his job? Hinch just lost his and from the report, it seems that he just looked the other way, while Cora was the one who orchestrated it. Then he leaves and immediately involves his next team in a cheating scheme the following year. But you fully expect him to keep his job? Even if he’s not banned by MLB, the optics would be terrible for the Sox if they let him stay. I don’t understand this take at all.

Yeah that’s what I came here to say. Hinch didnt have nearly the part that Cora did and Hinch got a year and lost his job. Cora does this with 2 teams, he has to get harsher punishment.

The Mets hired Beltran because management thought he’d be a great example for the players, That they would listen to him. He had no qualifications to manage whatsoever.

Buster Posey never said Yadi Molina was not an offensive asset in his prime. That’s total BS. Not only is that not like anything Posey would ever say (I’ve never heard a single critical remark from him about any other player), but also Posey is not stupid. Look at the stats. Molina had 3 years in his prime when he posted an OPS+ of 124, 137, and 129. Plus 4 other years at 100 or higher. Not even the most uneducated about baseball would say that. This is clearly nothing but an attempt at character assassination.
