Does Lux , May , Ruiz & Joc get the deal done for Lindor & Clevinger?
spencer99
I would think so. But I’m not the guy to ask…
StandUpGuy
Haha! Did y’all see the Clevinger for Seagura straight up trade proposal? That is the dumbest one I read in awhile. The logic behind the deal getting done was basically that it would make the Phillies better. He didn’t even feel the need to consider the fact that Cleveland would need a reason to make such a lopsided trade. I guess the Indians will probably just do it and sacrifice themselves for the sole purpose of making the Phillies better. Seems reasonable.
jorge78
Yes, I had a good laugh over that one! I submitted a ? (kind of late) about the 20,000 player debuting in MLB possibly this year. Seems like it should be a big deal, like when MLB celebrated the 10,000th run decades ago. What say you?
Cardsfanatik redux
To much MLB the Show with force trades turned on.
jjp
They’re NOT trading Clevinger. Stop listening to out of town internet rumors. It makes zero sense to trade an ace with 3 more years of control making almost no money.
ben4ben
Bieber is the ace not clevinger
dixoncayne
Clevinger is an ace and there’s no reason to trade him
Polish Hammer
Clevinger is an ace. He was unhittable to start last season and then got hurt, but he was cruising.
larry48
No, because Lux is not going anywhere in any trade.
Bruin1012
Then neither is Clevinger
Padres458
Hes absolutely on the table if the return is clev and Lindor.
SalaryCapMyth
When you are talking about trading players like Lendor and Clevinger, there is no such thing as untouchable prospects.
Padres2019ha
Don’t think you could Clevinger w Lux and May w out a couple more mid tiers. Def couldn’t get Lindor for Joc and Ruiz.
fox471 Dave
Nonsense, Padres 2019. Lux and May would definitely get Clevinger. Joc and Ruiz would definitely not get Lindor.
Javia
Lux, May, Ruiz, Verdugo and possibly 1 more like Gonsolin is probably what it would take to get both.
fox471 Dave
Yep
chippahawk
Look up 3″ and click on the red word in the paragraph FNG.
jorge78
Please explain this secret code. I lost my decoder ring…..
StandUpGuy
I was wondering the same thing. Where are we supposed to find something that’s only 3″? In his pants?
jorge78
Ouch!
chippahawk
It’s military TS, you would never be able to find it on The Google
jorge78
OK!
bjupton100
I know because non-secret military (whatever seal is) are definitely not on the internet. If in a public place not dedicated to military, writing crap others can see understand that “look up 3”) means 3 inches, no matter what day stuff you claim it means. It means 3 inches to the world, so send your girlfriend a private message next time, mm k.
chippahawk
Melvin: It was to answer the first posters question, look up 3 inches from his original post (click on the red hyperlinked word “here”) and type his question in the chat so Mark could answer it for him. Hope this clears up any confusion on your behalf.
Wilford Brimley
Mark again? Let me know when Tim Dierkes does a chat… or that silly clown guy Tim Dillard.
jorge78
Take your medicine dude…..
StandUpGuy
His his diabetis makes him confused and he forgets to take his medicine. It’s cool though. Don’t worry about it because it’s cool.

Where will Ryu end up?
Dodgers?
Angels?
Pads?
Jays?
Twins?
Other?
MN BenG
I think he signs with the Dodgers again. He was so successful last year there and he wants to be on the west coast.
IMO Twins make a trade for a starting pitcher.
shortytallz
wrong
MN BenG
I was wrong.
Blue Jays for Ryu.
Miguel Jr
All good! Most of us were wrong! Surprisingly he’s going to Toronto! Best wishes for him.
phantomofdb
No offense. But you’re drinking the Twins’ PR koolaid. The report that Ryu wanted to stay on the west coast came out of… you guessed it… Minnesota. Because they want their fans to believe that “players just don’t want to come here and that’s not why we aren’t signing anyone”. When in reality it’s just, they’re being cheap. When the report came out, again, OF Minnesota, Ryu quickly denied saying he wanted to stay on the west coast. And the “proof in the pudding” he signed to a fringe contending team well east of Minneapolis
SalaryCapMyth
The Twins created the rumor that Ryu preferred to stay West to justify not signing Ryu must be one of your favorite conspiracy theories. Right up there with the moon landing hoax.
Most teams don’t explain anything, they just don’t sign a player but I guess the Twins are more self conscious.
larry48
Dodgers

You don’t ask the questions here, what is this the minor leagues of comment sections tonight or what?

Braves trade Andruw Jones and Greg Maddux for D’Backs Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling. Who says no?
chippahawk
According to your avatar it’s more like who says, “nooooooooooooooooooo!?!”
imindless
So we know dodgers are holding seager as the blue chip in any trade. Wondering what the packages would look like.
Dodgers acquire clevinger and lindor
Indians acquire seager, may, ruiz, polluck/joc pederson and stripling.
I think the thinking behind dodgers trading seager is that he will be significantly less expensive than lindor and is as good if not better with the bat. They get cost controlled young arm in may with upside of ace, there catcher of the future and swing bullpen piece in stripling. I think joc or polluck could be delt simply because both are relatively cheap and productive players when healthy.
Also worth noting i wonder if in mookie trade they would try to pair him with price so his cost would be less.
Dodgers acquire price (red sox retain 30 million) and betts
Red sox acquire polluck/pederson, keibert ruiz, ross stripling/kenta maeda.
Dodger get better in outfield and shift bellinger back to 1st and hope for price to rebound.
Red sox get cheap outfielder to replace betts while also gaining there future catcher while also get rid of 67 million in future earning in price and getting cost controlled pitcher in strippling/maeda.
Thoughts?
Padres2019ha
Fun to dream
Padres458
Why would the Indians want Pollock?
OIC2021
Isn’t that a good fish to eat?
cecildawg
Extribe: Sweet tasting. Excellent in fish and chips. From the Banks.
99socalfrc
Your seeing this thing through Dodger fan glasses for sure.
Any trade for Clevinger and Lindor includes May & Lux, if not, noone in Cleveland is returning your call.
fox471 Dave
Why would Dodgers give up that for one year of Betts. Makes no sense.
JoeBrady
Why would Dodgers give up that for one year of Betts. Makes no sense.
———————————————————————–
I guess that raises the question of why they would want Lindor for only two years?
Cooperdooper7
Nonsense…. There are my thought…. Red Sox do not need a future Catcher, and a couple of average arms for Betts and Price…… got no interest in an aging Pollock and Joc who is basically a DH…. Sox already have a DH.. Let me repeat, the Sox preference is to keep Betts even if it is having him play next season and still going to Free Agency where they can sign him anyway just like the Nats did with Strasburg.
OIC2021
Do not be surprised when the deal with the Lindor/ Dodgers is announced that either Clevinger or Brad Hand is included in order to obtain Verdugo, Lux, Dustin May, and Joc Peterson. My contacts indicate we will not get Lux unless the Indians include Clevinger or Hand
jorge78
Your contacts!!??
fishy14
Yep cause lux is sure worth a young ace pitching in AL with 3 years of cheap control
It’s crazy how some ppl over value prospects
JoeBrady
Yep cause lux is sure worth a young ace pitching in AL with 3 years of cheap control
—————————————————–
Did you not read the part that said “Verdugo, Lux, Dustin May, and Joc Peterson.”?
fox471 Dave
Your contacts, ‘ey? Guess what? My contacts say your contacts are confused. Tribe is not getting Verdugo. Period.

Revenge of the Sith was the second best star wars movie of all time not the second worst
Salionski
Maybe if you don’t care about coherent writing. It may be one of the most universally panned writing examples in recent history. And it didn’t have Jar Jar as an excuse.
It’s very obvious they needed an additional movie to justify Anakin’s behaviour, as well as his turn to the dark side. Without it it made Darth look pathetic and weak.
And I’m not getting into the higher ground crap. Just the expectant father suddenly becoming a child killer. Massive hole.
Even if you added Jar Jar to Revenge it would be one of the worst written blockbusters in history.
sfjackcoke
I am not skeptical of the Castellanos to SF rumors, age, performance & no QO makes him a fit. It’s Ozuna who’s not a fit at all (age and QO) + what’s up with his shoulder/arm and when should everyone look at that MIA season as a career year?.
Belt has 2 yrs left on his deal, a partial NTC and I think SF would love to open up 1B as a spot to rotate players including Posey and Catesllanos. Even with Belt on the roster NC could be a utility type player bouncing around the diamond LF, 1B, 3B
hyraxwithaflamethrower
Castellanos is a better fit than Ozuna almost anywhere, but that doesn’t make either of them a good fit for SF. The Giants aren’t contending anytime soon, so why pay an offensively-minded, defensively-challenged RF a bunch of money for several years, turning singles into doubles for the opponents and the park’s size turning HR’s into doubles for himself? A defense-first guy would suit them better, but better still is starting a long overdue rebuild. Either way, neither Castellanos nor Ozuna are good fits for that.
