hindsight is 20/20, but i think either way the Meadows trade was the most ridiculous.

The roasting of (obviously) white Braves fans (clearly racist*) obsession over a terrible white player has been gold up and down these threads, great work everyone, Culberson really is terrible – LOL
*imagine if a player from the DR put up Culberson’s numbers and had his exact career, white Braves fans would be saying “Good riddance to a 0.2 WAR player” right now. We need to unite to stop letting scrubby white guys keep having legit careers over more talented players, stat.
The sound of my palm slapping my forehead was audible three blocks away when I saw the FIRST QUESTION was about gritty ole Culby, the heart and soul of baseball.

Your knowledge of how people think is matched only by your understanding as to how players help their teams win or lose games.
Charlie’s numbers on average weren’t great but he managed to get a ton of hits when it mattered most. If yur team is down 10-0, Culberson is gonna go 0-3. If your team is down 3-0 Culberson is gonna hit a walk off grand slam in the ninth. That’s what Braves fans loved about him. Not to mention $1.8 mill isn’t a bug payroll sacrifice for any team. I doubt skin color had anything to do with it. Atlanta has one of the highest percentages of black population of any city in the US. I think only DC has a higher percentage (at least when it comes to big cities that can support multiple major sports franchises). You don’t know what your talking about when you claim Braves fans that loved Charlie were all white and racist. The fact that you even said that means you are probably more racist than any of them.

One year of control, doesn’t hit lefties… anything more than a mid-level relief arm is asking to much for the White Sox. There are better option for a RF.
