Just think, if you do a good job , they will promote you to Visalia. The armpit of california

I thought Stockton was the armpit of California
sufferforsnakes
I live in the Inland Empire (San Bernarghetto, Riverside, Fontana, etc), and the actual nickname given to this area by the surrounding counties is…..”The Armpit of Southern California.”
Nothing could be truer.
pater06
You’ve clearly never been to Needles or Mojave, and it’s likely you’ve never seen Visalia either. Idiot.
Ironman_4life
Um. Im glad you know me. Been in Visalia 30 years. Not sure if your calling me and idiot or signing your name.

Nothing like being defensive as possible to “prove your point” there, pater06.

The Diamondbacks are now forced to hire their coaching staff through classified ads. Maybe next they will try to sell their used whirlpool tubs. Heckuva an organization there.

You do realize that multiple listings for multiple positions in multiple organizations have been posted on this very same site, right? Your bias is showing.
hiflew
Thank you for indexing the site for me. Perhaps they should just get rid of the search box here and have everyone send their inquiries directly to you via email. Your arrogance is showing.
highheat
That wasn’t a personal attack, that was me pointing out that you are obviously biased enough against the organization that you didn’t bother researching the state of affairs. You’re the one that thought you had a solid grasp of the state of an organization based off of a listing for an extremely low level minors position; that’s arrogance. Pro tip: if you don’t have enough information about a topic, you should keep opinions to yourself, that way you won’t feel insulted when someone calls you out on your ignorance/stupidity. P.S. I’m surprised you actually know what a search box is (now THAT is arrogance).
hiflew
Gee, how could I have seen that as a personal attack? You used the words “you” and “your” in the comment. That is the very definition of personal.
And those multiple (3) job listings from multiple (3) organizations were all related to the front office, not hitting coaches. Finding a front office employee through a site like this makes some sense. Finding a hitting coach does not. So, even though it was an obvious joke, it seems there is a bit of truth involved as well.
As far as the tip goes, I seriously doubt you are a pro at anything I am interested in knowing more about, so just keep the tips to yourself. Along with your juvenile insults.

You do realize MLBTR chooses to post them, right? It’s very unlikely someone is hired through here. I doubt Arizona was begging them to do it.
highheat
If somebody points out your bias in a statement, it might be personal (because I was talking only to you), but it’s certainly not an attack.
By the way, those three that you mention are not the only listings that have been posted, they have several every off-season and some during the season, but congrats on figuring out how to use the search function. You’re improving!
That was a life tip, not just baseball, and I will keep my tips to myself, because you obviously don’t want to know more about baseball operations or improving your social interactions.
Wait, one more tip: if you don’t want people flinging juvenile insults at you, don’t be condescending and juvenile. I wish nothing but the best for you going forward, on the condition that you try to fix your ignorance (willful ignorance is stupidity, my friend).
Happy Holidays!

It helps the website overall, because Tim Dierkes said nobody clicks on ads anymore with every single person having ad-blocking software installed with whichever browser they use, so they get paid a few bucks for these job ads so they can afford to pay their writers’ salaries. The Jeff Todd contract has become somewhat similar to Vernon Wells, but they tried to trade him to Bleacher Report for a couple of interns and had little interest since he was too smart and wordy for BR.

Why do people always have to argue with each other in the comments? SMH.

I don’t know about for most people, but I do it because I don’t meet a lot of people that I genuinely see as fools in my daily life. It’s amusing to poke at fools. I’m genuinely sorry if it ruined your enjoyment of the boards. Hopefully you have a nice day!

No that explanation made it much better hahaha
