The big difference is that the writers on MLBTR are not anonymous. Both the reasonable people and the trolls are. It’s a sensitive subject, and if everyone could be counted on to post reasonable, well considered opinions, then they would open the comments sections. They can acquire Cole, Odorizzi or Wheeler, and Rendon – and they still won’t be able to compete with the Astros – and perhaps the A’s – in 2020.
The Angles need to develop their own players – both in the high minors and on the ML roster.
