That’s a great recap of the Astros past 24 hours. For an organization that has had so much recent success, they show time and time again how they are a second class at best organization.
does anybody not see the YUGE problem that arises from this current voice to reporter non scuffle word salad of a drunk, happy, albeit dumb in the moment man. no? ok. ill make it real easy for those in the back. this itself has become a bigger issue than osuna or osuna’s actions that heretofore made this now scandalous rowdiness
I kinda agree, but I do have to say he went overboard saying it six times.
what a joke that the words one says (yes they were dumb and no i do not even like or root for osuna) are no equal to the actual actions osuna undertook for this to become a public (and private) situation. what a joke. words are not violence
Some thin-skinned snowflakes look for moral equivalency in everything.
let me do some hard guessing. hmm. were all of these reporters who got offended by words, democrats. hmm. think that over for a second. we know the media is liberal over the too crazy. im gonna guess these mad reporters were democrats. over the last few years only a select group of people have put the words of one over their actions. this select group of people who get offended by every other word, democrats! ha
You are a large part of what is wrong with this world.
o we found another person offended by words, another democrat
The words Democrats are most offended at are the constant lies told b Republicans.
if you had any semblance of a coherent point to start off with you absolutely squandered it by making it political.
another person offended by words, wow. another democrat. nobody cares if you are offended by dumb words. grow up
wow, how well you have missed my point and antagonized me for no perceptible reason. im not offended, save by the fact that i even have to explain myself to you.
yo. making a political statement does not nullify a statement. grow up hillary lover
You seem very offended right now
holy cow. this person get it. thank u
Maybe rephrase this so people have a semblance of an idea what you’re talking about.
I say this as a Republican.
i say this as a republican. well good for you. i say this as a republican too. no one cares about words over actions. i can say things that are untrue. i cannot have false actions. i wonder when this became an outdated sentiment. words can be false, untrue, lies. when you do something, and it’s not just saying words. those actions are not false. made up. untrue. they are your actions. they happened.
Do have a point to your unintelligible ramblings? You’re making the rest of us conservatives look stupid.
dude. or dudette. you voted for trump. and now you think some random dude from ohio is making you look bad? haha. you do realize that many a times in life you need to look bad in order to be good. it’s called a mask
Clearly by his spelling and grammar, of course he has no point.
and yet, republicans go full snowflake at the slightest set of words.
here, i’ll just say the secret words to trigger you snowflakes:
god isn’t real, jesus christ never existed, and anyone who believes in jesus is mentally insane.
there, i’m sure you’ll respond to this without frothing at the mouth (oh wait, you’re republican, not a chance in hell you’ll reply with anything but lame insults).
Nope. A real conservative doesn’t care what you believe, because it’s your right. It’s only when you get in peoples’ faces about it and try to force your beliefs on the rest of us that we have a problem.
Stop allowing yourself to be manipulated by Russian bots, Rush and Faux News. Conservative, Liberal, Independent—it doesn’t matter. We’re all Americans. Commit to country before party, and conduct yourself with honor.
absolutely absurd to regard Rosario in that way. cant believe he’s regarded as lowly as he is.
ok. so making things political is wrong. then what are you going to do when you find politics runs the world
There’s a large difference between “making things political” and “twisting things around to fit a bizarre narrative that’s completely unrelated to the topic at hand”, a difference that you somehow can’t comprehend. But you do you.
you mean like hillary and everyone being a russain agent. yeah. i get what you are serving
Thank you for perfectly encapsulating my post while simultaneously missing it, couldn’t have done it any better myself.
wait til you guys (and gals) find out that every decision made in life has political implications. wait til you find out FBI agents can have political leanings and bias towards certain political parties and candidates. and that those biases can affect their work during and after a presidential election. wait til the flood gates break, or open your darn eyes now and see the bias everywhere. these words are not violence. they are words. actions may be violent. words can be violet or mean (get it).
Astros in 5?
astros in five. or four.
ramble on ramblers. astros in five. or four. trump in 2020 with about 351 electoral votes
hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!
you really think president goblin will win pretty much every state but new york and cali?
wow, you guys are insane (oh wait, you’re the party that thinks jesus is real and will be coming back any day now. of course you’re insane)
Don’t look at this guy and think the rest of us are like him.
so come back in a year and complain about another individual making you look stupid. how is that even possible. trudeau just came out a huge racist who loves to use show polish over his entire body to appropriate his racism. he won an election while confessing he is openly racist and loves to paint his entire body in shoe polish. this loser won easily yesterday. his racism made nobody else look like a racist, just a fool
Speaking of fools….
I know, right? When he sobers up perhaps he’ll realize that he makes as much sense as someone who constantly reminds us that he went to an Ivy League school yet fights hammer and tongs to NOT have his grades released.
If the angels don’t land Cole then I consider their offseason a fail, they needed him more then any other contending team, They also need Odorizzi or wheeler
They can acquire Cole, Odorizzi or Wheeler, and Rendon – and they still won’t be able to compete with the Astros – and perhaps the A’s – in 2020.
The Angles need to develop their own players – both in the high minors and on the ML roster.
Bringing Mickey Callaway on as Pitching Coach would be a step in the right direction.
If they add to the rotation and can have everyone healthy , they can contend for a wildcard , That has been their problem ever since signing Hamilton the last 7 years.
Kinda chicken s#!t for MLBTR to turn comments off for the post addressing what happened in the Houston clubhouse. This is an important topic sparking valuable discussions.
The discussions of these kinds of things are basically never “valuable”, and more often than not they turn into just idiotic back and forths and people being dumb when the comments are left open.
Thank goodness the Astros got Osuna.
funny, the rest of the time, republicans wanted people like osuna deported.
guess when he can do something for you, it’s cool.
of course, the guy pays more in taxes this year alone than 99.99999 percent of the people that root for the guy (hell, it’s not like republicans actually pay taxes anyways).
I guess the money that comes out of my paycheck every two weeks goes to no one.
“Yup, gotta deport all them thar ferners…. and while we’re at it, we gotta take them aborshuns too… every full blooded Umerican should be given a free gun wrapped in a US of A flag just in case we need to mobilize a milisha. Global Warming is a lie brought on us by those Russian Bots. God Bless ‘Merica. AMEN!” Trump 2020
figures the astros thing brings out the right wing idiots.
why are you all on here?
didn’t donnie dum-dum get you guys jobs like he promised?
oh wait, you guys are on welfare like the majority of right wing nutjobs (but yet somehow can still afford booze, guns, and jesus).
it’d be nice if any of you actually contributed to society, but i’m not sure drug abuse and incest counts as contributing.
You are as much off a tool as that astros fan ranting.
here here
What’s wrong with being on welfare?
Racist
So let me get this straight, the mods can comment on certain topics but think we shouldn’t comment. So basically, your opinions should be heard and ours shouldn’t, got it. That’s a pretty petty and selfish look for the mods.
theyre trying to keep the site tame and from erupting into quarrels and debates at every turn. they have no obligation to let anyone comment on anything.
I know what they’re doing, they’ve said it many times. It’s just a bad look for them to be commenting on it while refusing to let others do the same. They set the standard, they should abide by them also.
The big difference is that the writers on MLBTR are not anonymous. Both the reasonable people and the trolls are. It’s a sensitive subject, and if everyone could be counted on to post reasonable, well considered opinions, then they would open the comments sections. Unfortunately there are too many trolls using the anonymity to post garbage to do that.
I appreciate mlbtr not allowing comments on sensitive subjects. I think it’s very smart of them.
I don’t blame them for doing it, can’t say I wouldn’t do the same if I were I their position. My point is, they should keep their mouths shut on these topics if they force us too.
Love the astro hate Brady Aiken times all over again. Say how’s he pitching? Oh that’s right. 2 championships in 3 years 2nd best offense ever. That’s right haters enjoy and be jealous
Did the female reporters oppose the Astros getting Osuna? I don’t understand why anyone would be upset by him saying that. I would think he would be happy for every player he has. Osuna has been very good.
MLBTR is really upset that the Astros beat the Yankees. If the Yankees were in MLBTR would be going into great detail about 27 and how important this is to MLB. They would have an article about every player on the Yankees. Now it’s like a chore having to cover the World Series. “Uhhh, do I have to write an article asking who might win? No one really cares do they?”
If Harper or Machado was on the Astros there would have be a dozen articles on how they’re leading the team to the promised land.
Have you noticed that they routinely refer to well over 30 MLB players as “superstars”? Hyperbole anyone?
It’s sort of like the star/hands/feet in cement around Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in LA. There long ago were so many that the trail winds around multiple side streets for miles. Last time I was there I saw one for a guy whose claim to fame is that he makes info-commercials for cable TV.
For this generation of youth and this generation of politicians and this generation of celebrity and media, action mean nothing. Its not what you do; its what you say or don’t say or the way you say or don’t say.
In my generation baseball fans celebrated the sport and focused on the WS for 10 days to 2 weeks.
For the last 35-40 years fans of individual teams that don’t make the WS complain about their owners, FO’s, managers and players; then start arguing about who their team should sign or trade for while ripping all aspects of the 2 teams that made the WS.
@Steve Adams Do you still think that “Flowers is a better catcher than Suzuki”, because I still don’t. The Braves made a mistake.
