In re: to that Braves/Red Sox proposal. Not only do the Braves hang up first, AA laughs himself to death right there at the desk.
Bjoe
I agree!
brandons-3
The offense is deep enough moving forward. It’s the pitching that needs to straighten itself out.
My personal meaningless opinion, but Anderson and Pache are my two untouchables. Anyone else can be had if the price is right.
MasterShake
I agree, I’ll put Waters in there too. Braves are really fortunate to have three absolute studs in the farm. I think a September call up is too early for Pache and Waters but I can see Anderson coming out of the pen.
MasterShake
I agree, you can add Waters to that. It might still be too early to call the former two up, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see Atlanta roll their prized prospect Anderson out of the pen in September. He’s ready now!
RunDMC
I talk about Yordan Alvarez on the daily to random strangers on the NYC subway. Seriously. They think I’m crazy and mispronouncing Jordan, but I don’t care. Aquino and his tear as taken made us forget a little about the AL rookie #44, but know that the candle is still burning brightly for him up here in Queens. And I’m a Braves fan
todd76
DMC sorry you live in New York!
mfm420
could be worse. could live in 95 percent of the south (you get both horrible heat and right wing nutjobs sucking on the government teat. talk about a lose-lose)
802Ghost
Let’s not take this politically. I mean, come on.
bhambrave
I could mention that most of those on govt assistance in red states live in blue areas, but I won’t. This isn’t a political site, it’s a baseball site.
TradeAcuna
Braves:
Best free agents available: Too expensive
Best trade targets: Too expensive in terms of prospects
Average players: Come on in!
MLB championships? What is that? We have top farm though!
Zach725
Also Braves: Sign Keuchel for $13 million and Donaldson for $23 million. How exactly are they cheap again?
TradeAcuna
Keuchel was paid because of what he has done before. Despite this pseudo pitching depth, the Braves realized they can’t fill in a rotation spot internally, so they went with a declining pitcher who demanded x amount of money. In other words, the Braves learned their pitching prospects suck right now so they were desperate. I’m sure they are still ok with the signing, but clearly, Dk is done. He will fit in great in a Nationals, Astros, Mets rotation. He does not fit in well on a team that has only one reliable pitcher in Soroka.
I’m okay if AA does not want to trade for Betts if he knows he will not meet his demands come free agency. However, if he is still attached to all these failing pitching prospects, then we will be in exactly the same situation as last year and this year. No pitching, only 3 good hitters, and a questionable bullpen.
Personally, I want the Braves to go after Rendon or Cole. These are two prizes available and at some point, they have to spend. Players like these two are not available every free agency.
I don’t want them to wait while the other teams in their division get better. I don’t believe in being patient. This is the same song and dance we have been hearing last few years. You are not competing against yourself.

Can you please just move to some other site, going forward? Or find a new team. Please.
antibelt
VTNCSC such a downer. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, as long as they aren’t distasteful. Instead of attacking others, why not post just your baseball opinions ..
MasterShake
No he’s pretty bad. Surprised he didn’t put his AAA champs stuff at the end there. If this dude was a GM he’d have a 79 win team and no farm to speak of.
802Ghost
Na, just tired of his constant crap view. Constantly says the Braves don’t spend enough, don’t spend enough, yet they hand out $23m to JD, Sign DK, locked up two good starts (yes, favorable for them) and so on.
It’s the same crap over and over and over and over.
Braves don’t need Rendon, he’s not leaving Washington anyways. They got burned w/ Harper, and they won’t let it happen again. They’ll pay him & Boras.
JD should be resigned, hold down 3b for 2-3 more years. Riley looked decent in LF, or if Pache/Waters are ready, then an outfield of Pache, Waters & Acuna is fine. Riley can be traded or get reps in AAA.
A bigger focus should really be a good bullpen core. The starters need more of a leash to get through tough innings, and 100 pitches don’t need to be the end-all-be-all for them, but that would require a manager change. Snit just can’t let them go over 100.
I’d like DK walk, and look for 1 TOR arm. But, I understand Atlanta isn’t going to spend like NYY
Questionable_Source
Who’s getting better??? The Phillies were 4 games better this time last year. Spending a bunch of money on other people’s trash doesn’t mean you’ve gotten better.
bhambrave
Most people post about a variety of topics. You seem to say the same thing over and over about a single topic. It’s starting to get old. We all know how you feel about this subject. I’d really appreciate it if you dropped it and posted about other stuff for a while.

I guess you don’t get on this site very often.

I really dont know why any Braves fans responds to this guy. I havent seen him reply to anyone in some time. It doesnt matter how the Braves actuall performance turns out. Anyone ever see the movie Major League? He’s that disgruntled fan in the stands that moans and groans no matter how good the team does.
Miguel Jr
Name some teams where Cole could sign this offseason.
ChiSoxCity
Name a team that wouldn’t be interested in signing him (Pittsburgh excluded).
justin33broja
Rangers or Astros
Miguel Jr
Name some teams where G. Cole could sign this offseason.
southi
Realistically you could name all the teams that meet the following qualifications:
1) need pitching
2) expect to be competitive
3) have the budget room
Now it is difficult to foresee EXACTLY who meets qualification #3 (at this point) because others deals could influence a team’s budget before they attempt to make room for Cole. In all certainty though Cole will command a high price and probably only about four teams will LEGITIMATELY be in the bargaining process.
66TheNumberOfTheBest
99% odds he’s a Giant, Angel, Padre or Dodger.
antibelt
Giants won’t give up their first round pick for any qualifying offer players. While they’ll still try to remain competitive, rebuild is at the forefront. They’d be better off resigning MadBum, and hoping Cueto returns well, and Shark actually repeats this season’s results.

You don’t lose your first any longer
MasterShake
Good choices I’m going to guess the White Sox will use that Machado money on him.
