The latest minor moves from around baseball…
- The Blue Jays outrighted Nick Kingham to Triple-A after the right-handed cleared waivers, according to a team announcement. Kingham was acquired from the Pirates in mid-June, and he posted a 3.50 ERA over 18 relief innings for Toronto before being designated for assignment earlier this week. Formerly a top-100 prospect during his time in Pittsburgh’s farm system, Kingham has only a 6.23 ERA over 128 2/3 career frames at the big league level.

This move was made earlier in the day. Announced during the game too.

Why would he go unclaimed? In every game I’ve see him pitch this year, he’s looked better than 75% of the other relievers I’ve seen take the mound for other teams.

He needs you to watch him every game then. You’re his good luck charm.

Nice depth to bring back up for when the 3-4 pitchers get traded. Surprised he made it through waivers.

I am surprised that Detroit or Baltimore or Seattle did not claim him.
Toronto may have themselves someone next year as he needs to pitch in AAA the rest of this year to get himself straightened out.
He was being counted on by the Pirates but he and a number of other pitchers just have not come through for Pittsburgh.
